Imo the problem with EMEA is half of the teams have mid players, EMEA need new products, some players have to step down from comp
Really? let's see
The teams that will take the last 5 places are probably Vitality, KC, FUT, BBL and TH
Who are the "mid" players of these teams according to you?
For me these players are:
Vitality - Destrian
Heretics - Boo
FUT - mid players in general maybe qraxs is good enough
BBL - Turko and Aslan
KC - All except Scream and Nivera
Heretics -avova -boo +monsteer +baddyG (IGL) (and after the others have gained exp, kick mixwell for a good recon)
Vitality -Destrian +braveaf/mushashi
BBL -turko -aslanmashadow +AslaN +Elite
FUT -muj -mojj -atakaptan +DeepMans +dESTRUCTIVE +Wo0t
KC +takaS +Enzo +kadavra (8-man roster, honestly haven't seen enough of shin and newzera to know if they need to be cut)
Giants -f1tinho +JUGi (i'd rather take a chance on him in tier1 than keep getting disappointed by how mid fitinho is)
KOI -starxo +mistic/l1nk
This also helps because it doesn't decimate Parla who were going to ascend to franchise anyway.
Yeah it's actually triggering. I knew this was gonna happen once they announced franchising. I kept telling people that we're not gonna be seeing the top players due to shitty riot management, that some frauds were gonna make it in. And now look, the top2 Turkish teams aren't even there. Apeks and Acend are also better than TH.
it's hard when your region decides to make the 3 strongest superteam and exports one of it's best players. America's did it smart, we separated good teams to make like 6 great teams and it'd didn't even tank our T2 scene. Broke up Loud, Kru, Optic, and XSET to build 6 borderline superteams is worth more than just creating 3 whole ass superteams in the longterm. Thank god for Carlos and Tate so G2 lost their slot. Imagine if XSET stayed together, Sen is way weaker, 100T probably gets Yay? Insane. I like what America's got.
problem with emea is that talent is really concentrated into like 3 teams
navi, liquid and fnatic
the rest of the teams either have 1-2 star players with the rest being unproven tier 2 talent
so like theres loads of ex tier 2 players who are good in emea franchsie rn and they gonna prove themselves soon
Yea I think its gonna get better as the season goes on; orgs just went with existing t1 players from last season + t2 players they already had signed, instead of properly scouting. As teams get more time I do trust the coaches to be able to spot their weak links/synergy problems and look for suitable replacements in the t2 pool.
A few of the current teams also seem motivated by fanbase instead of being the best competitively (i.e. the Spanish TH just so happening to sign mixwell, the French org KC just randomly making a full french speaking roster). And then the eternal Turkey being part of emea but struggling to "import/export" players, due to language, problem.
kc having french players has nothing to do with fanbase, kc takes french players because it's the org's goal to make french speaking players shine internationally and prove that french speaking players can be the best at their game, besides that kc wouldn't have taken shin newzera in if it was for the fanbase, they have no clout, meanwhike enzo kdvra takas are kinda clouted
kc is known for making french superteams/french super rookies + proven t1 french (speaking) players (eg. rocket league, League of legends and many others)
I disagree that they have no "clout"; individually I would agree, theyre youngsters from t2 , however newzera and shin have been with KC for an entire season. Those matches were getting serious views, so the french valo fanbase already has connection to them. But that's not exactly what I was on about.
Your second point is what I ment. As you said KC is known for making amazing french rosters, its something they built their fanbase around. That, in turn, very much is picking up players for fanbase instead of purely trying to make the best roster possible; you do not make a better roster by limiting the pool of possible players in a fashion that has nothing to do with their skill/performance.
(I also wanna clarify that I'm not saying they intentionally made a bad roster. Im saying that fanbase was a motivation for their team decisions instead of it being PURELY competitively oriented)
u are half right, kc chooses those french players because they have World class potential qnd they want to nurture them into being world class players, now whether it happens or not is a different story, kc themselves have said that having a bigger pool is better but they'd rather build on french synergy and then if it doesnt work they'll start bringing in english speaking players
Nah stop the cap guys. We can’t realistically pretend like we can make 10 teams that are better than NA’s 5 best teams. What we need to do is start thinking of NA as America’s. So far BBL has lost to DRX with a great showing and KOI to NRG playing good, there’s no shame on any of those loses. And if we compare ourselves to America, TH lost to EG, (Top 8/9 vs their top 6/7). It’s not that bad common, MIBR also lost to Asia
Be realistic guys and don’t overreact so much, if y’all didn’t expect this it’s y’all’s problem
