How tf is that the same? 😹 Kiles won champs in 2021 and then fell off hard. But right after champs he would still be considered a tier 1 player. With Zekken we are talking about the most recent major tournament.
Also why tf are you talking about on a ‘global scale’ when this is literally only about the NA scene 😹 you are actually so dumb
It really just depends on whatever direction tarik wants to take with this. If he wants glorified ranked (which is fine and the original purpose of this in the first place) then he lets all the t1/t2 pros in, but at that point, most people might rather just play ranked instead. Personally i think tiers are a much better approach to this tho, but idk. What i do know is he can't really keep as is, because people who are legitimately qualified are being denied entry.
True, tier would be a much better approach imo. Maybe they could have their own ranked system similar to ranked where players who win/contribute more to the team would progress up the different ranks, which would incentivize players to keep playing, and limit the skill level of players once u climb higher to queue. Might be difficult tho as there are only a handful of pro players in the server.
he's right though. Like if the pro queue become bigger and ppl start not having the criteria, It actually is super counter intuitive to what the pro 10 mans suppose to do . Its gonna start feeling like rank for a lot of ppl cause the skill gap in decision making and aim is there. It will become more apparent when franchising teams/challengers/gc teams actually compete year round in the seasons. Ppl who were in top 32 teams that didn't make challengers or ex pros will be hard to keep up unless they grind the game a lot.
I trust tarik more than zekken on this. The idea to start procity, the invitationals, the lil bro cup were all successes in their own way to make valorant more "fun" but keeping it competitive. zekken doesnt realize what makes a game popular or virality of FPS scene, tarik knows it. I dont care if tarik botfrags every game he plays, the idea itself cleaned up a lot of throwing in NA radiant ranked. it also worked out that crypto throwing is not as feasible since there's no use in throwing pro-players' or content-creators' games anymore so people are playing the game normally.
Watched sinatraa/shanks and some others playing ranked, it was decent enough and no fuckery these past few days. Tarik even outright contradicted zekken's tweet, which is correct. he wants NA as a whole to improve, that's how it improves. Looking at it the other way, you can think of it as these people thinking they're better than ranked "common people" and they are above them so instead of indulging with common people, they make their own society with their own rules. But, at the end of the day, as someone who watches, I dont care about that. I just want to watch a proper valo match instead of too many throwers which has increased the past act.
Some other interesting things I found is that there are players who seem to have bad blood against other pros like subroza who doesnt want to play procity games, since faze shanks is his duo, he also isnt playing it. but he talks about playing in it. quite sad. marved is depressed since optic disbanded and doesnt want to sweat so he's also not playing procity. I can keep going about little stuff like this but you get the idea.
Either way, I think valorant overall is healing since the chamber nerf, the basic changes to abilities defeating other abilities but not ults and need ults to destroy other ults, the ally util not damaging each other, just consistency wise, they're doing a great job, no duelist kayos, no duelist sages etc.
cheers
Damn zekken really threw some shots at the GC scene lmfao.
But yeah, hes not wrong at all.
Watched some games with florescent in and it was making me lose braincells, she was literally playing like prod and has a big ego with weak mentality.
Tbh the only one GC player that i atleast saw that deserves to play in the "t1 10 mans" would be sarahcat
of course cs players will do better now cause its still tactical fps. Valorant is doing what no other esports have done and that's getting the women audience into the pro scene. There's more interests for them in valorant both from a casual and professional perspective. I shouldn't say they haven't play or weren't pro in other games but I feel like the women scene for other esports are so barebones its really hard to grind or improve in that type of environment.

Zekken wants this to be a scrim. But tarik made this hub jst to avoid the throwers and no commers . Separating t1 and t2 players will lead this hub to dead real soon imo. I think tarik should keep it like how it is now. T1/ t2 should all play together like how a ranked match should be not like how a scrim match should be. Cz the pros are already scrimming 6-7hours a day,why would they wanna play like scrim more 6-7 hours
What Tarik did is definitely not a new concept it's almost excatly like back in the day using Ventrilo and mIRC on GameSurge and QuakeNet with the OP's on top making all the channel's decisions and the plebs sitting in #findscrim spamming 5v5 - cal-m/p/invite - west/central/east - de_map
I thought we would have figured this out already lol
tier 1 should be:
-franchise/challenger teams
-anyone previously on a top 10 NA team
-top 3 gc teams
tier 2 should be:
-top 32 in open quals/LCQ
-anyone previously on a top 30 NA team
-top 10 gc teams

Stopped reading at tier 1 and top 3 GC teams 🤓 Zekken is delusional, show this kid how FPL and FPL-c works. Tier1, tier 2 and females must be divided like in cs: fpl, fplc, womens league.
