basically, Kru and folkus could tie in series wins and were playing against each other. 2 other teams of the group had already made into playoffs while Kru and fokus were trying to get the last spot.

on map 2, tixinha - a Brazilian caster who is streaming RB home ground watch party - asked RB's production about the tiebreaker and a RB member said it was head to head, meaning who'd win the series would also guarantee the last playoff spot. kru wins and they are said they are in the playoffs, the players even tweeted celebrating

but then, they were told that they were out of playoffs because fokus had won more rounds (Kru tweeted saying it was map wons, but IIRC they were tied in maps, but fokus had won 3 more rounds. I'm not sure)

it's a heartbreaking, fucked up, easily avoidable situation if RB were more organized and familiar with their own rulebook

IMO, since apparently the tiebreaker rule always was h2h win, it's fair, but the situation is super fucked up, the players probably didn't rest as much because all of this, less time to prepare for them and for liquid, that was probably pretty confused about who they would play against today.

besides that, the communication was weird and a lot of fans are saying fokus was robbed etc. i don't blame them, i don't think everyone knows that they stated previously of the end of the game that the tiebreake was h2h and it must feel bad for who was rooting for fokus.
