just look back like 3 weeks, on the online CSGO tournament, there are also plenty of viewers. 80k view or so on average, and 100k+ when NAVI and the likes are playing. These numbers are only main stream btw, not counting RU and Gaules etc. counting RU and Gaules is double that number

This should be almost as hyped up as the Valorant Lan since it's the first CS Lan in over a year but yet the viewership is lower... I love Valorant but still like CS but I'm just saying you have a poor argument. Obviously it was the first Lan ever for Valorant but the game is only getting bigger and bigger and I'm sure Masters Berlin will have even more viewers and that Champions might have double the viewership. CS is not dead and isn't going to die anytime soon but Valorant will likely soon overtake CS in terms of popularity and viewership if it hasn't done so already.
As I said in another comment, Valorant LAN is hyped is mainly because it is the FIRST TIME ever to see different teams face off.
This CSGO LAN is the 50th time these teams face off. You have seen Astralis G2 Navi FaZe etc. played against each other multiple times already in the past 2 years.
A bettter comparison of this CSGO LAN will be a NA/EU/KR VCT LAN, where we have seen the teams face off against each other on a regular basis already, but just in a LAN environment. obviously there's no regional VCT LAN atm, so is impossible to compare the numbers, but I'd say it will be closer to the normal online VCT than the numbers u actually see in Iceland despite it being LAN
