⠀

Single elimination bracket. Grand finale best of 5, all others bo3. Audience + venue for playoffs.
3-0 swiss - swiss 3-2
3-1 swiss - swiss 3-1

Pros with this format:
- Builds up more hype! More teams get playtime and increases importance of LCQs. LCQs are good because they reflect on recent performance, instead of points gathered half a year ago.
- Forced international matchups in round 1 for play-ins and main stage swiss stage for exciting games
- Teams that directly qualified to Champions gets an advantage by skipping play-ins
- Regions that do not have a direct main stage qualification from LCQ (NA, EMEA, APAC) get awarded with two teams in the play-ins, instead of just one (East Asia, SAM), as they already have one team directly qualified for the main event.
- Literally the existence of swiss stage
- Increased tournament length to make up for having a limited amount of internationals
- Teams with more points get seeded against teams with lower points for round 1 main event swiss stage. Awards earlier performance in VCT 2022.
Cons with this format:
- Rito small indie company
- I have approximately 7 IQ
