Acend Acend Inactive ALIVE Gilad Hakim musashi Alessio Xhaferi pyrolll Artur Minin cullumx Nikolaj Cullum Andersen chiwa Egor Stepanyuk have announced that Aleksander "zeek" Zygmunt has been benched, and that the team will begin trialing for a new player to round out their roster ahead of the EMEA LCQ.

zeek has been with Acend for just over a year, and joined the organization after being released from G2 Esports G2 Esports Inactive , who acquired Jose "koldamenta" Luis Aranguren from Acend. In 2021 with Acend, zeek and company defined themselves as one of Europe's best teams, winning two LVP Rising Series championships, Stage 3 Challengers 1, and Valorant Champions, the premier capstone event of the 2021 competition year.

In 2022 so far, their results have been a far cry from their achievements the year prior, despite the team bringing swapping out Vlad "Kiles" Shvets and Santeri "BONECOLD" Sassi for Ondřej "MONSTEERR" Petrů and Vakaris "vakk" Bebravičius. The team narrowly avoided being sent to the VCT Promotion tournament after the conclusion of the Stage 1 group stage, and while the team did improve in Stage 2 Challengers by making the playoffs, but bowed out in 5th-6th place following losses to M3 Champions M3 Champions Inactive Jady Yaroslav Nikolaev purp0 Semyon Borchev Chronicle Timofey Khromov Redgar Igor Vlasov and FunPlus Phoenix FunPlus Phoenix Inactive SUYGETSU Dmitry Ilyushin Zyppan Pontus Eek ANGE1 Kyrylo Karasov Shao Andrey Kiprsky ardiis Ardis Svarenieks .

With this announcement, only Mehmet "cNed" Yağız İpek and Patryk "starxo" Kopczynski remain from the squad that won Valorant Champions 2021.

with the rate hes going at, i could see him change his role to flex too (victor went from flex to duelist but can do it vice versa) and honestly just want to see the guy on a franchised team for next year.

Same I'm just concerned that maybe Jugi isn't flexible enough to enter tier 1 right now. Like when you see duelist player pretty much being Jett one trick for most part (Neon on Split) and then starting to play Reyna on map like Split my alarm bells start ringing. He didn't even touch Chamber. Obviously he was still relatively new to Fokus and played in tier 2 so it may not be the best foundation, but hopefully he can improve and add agents like Raze or/and Chamber to his agentpool.

Yes, but 1. cNed definitely could still play Jett if given time. 2. Neon isn't must unless they want to run Neon comps that they haven't in the past like most EMEA teams. 3. cNed doesn't play Raze, but neither does Jugi.
Zeek was perfect for what they have. He could play Raze when ever needed and especially now is really meta while he also flexed to flashers or whatever if needed.
Jugi is pretty much just Jett/Neon player right now and that doesn't make sense when you have cNed. cNed is already inflexible player so you don't want to add cNed v2.

How 5 times better? They had problems then they downgraded by benching BONECOLD and brought Vakk who is not good enough for that level.They look like they reached whole potential and they can't beat teams like ex-Gambit or Fnatic anymore.
They came back to good performances but it's still not it.Just get a proper IGL not that Vakk.Original Acend would trash that team
