to be fair when were talking about who's the best controller na it means the best player on the role, not the one who places smokes best. If you put a three year old on smokes in the game and they placed perfect smokes every time but never got a single kill, they wouldn't be considered the best controller.

Arguing for best player on a role is different than who plays the role best. Very different. And it kind of is who places the smokes best. Obviously that’s not all of it but when discussing who’s the best on role it’s a huge aspect. Before Marved came to full form, both Zombs and Nitr0 were arguably better controller players despite Marved being mechanically better. Now obviously Marved is way beyond either but at the time they played the role slightly better.

I don’t think it’s disrespectful to say that, yes Bang is good and has a lot of potential but the thread is about the best controller NA. Which is definitely Marved since he is the only controller in NA who has proved their worth on the international stage.
