Not counting during and after master Toronto, were they genuinely good during kickoff and stage one as they were top 3 in both?

every other team was fucked then except sen,g2 and mibr. thats why they were "good". nrg,c9 and lev fixed their shit so mibr doesn't look "good" now

Lol, they almost beat G2 in Split 1 and lil bro is using this ass narrative. They also beat 100T this stage and almost took down NRG, MIBR wasn’t bad right now “cause other teams got better”, the team had a mental collapse and got totally uncoordinated after losing to Sentinels in Split 1 and then that Toronto disaster, it was all on them. MIBR sold themselves and only tried to get back to what they were at the end of Split 2.

i think both of you are correct. yes, g2 sen mibr were the only good teams early in the year because they were the only ones who didnt fuck themselves up. but mibr has definitely had their edge taken away as the other teams have been getting better. that combined with mental fuckery has lead to the current situation.

what u are saying is true asw tho but even 100t almost beat g2 in stage 1 doesnt mean they are good brother. even a stopped clock shows the correct time twice a day. flukes happen like zeta beating prx doesnt mean zeta is good. loud went 0-5 in stage 1 and all matches were close doesn't mean loud was actually cooking. in the end in kickoff, mibr was good no denying but over the year everyone got better and mibr got stuck on that level.

You gotta be kidding me. You really bringing up 100T and LOUD? 100T finished 9-12 at Kickoff and 6th in Stage 1. Yeah, they had that close game vs G2 in Split 1, but they were never on a good level. That game was more about G2 trolling than 100T looking good. MIBR on the other hand was actually disciplined and well-coordinated in Kickoff and Split 1. They weren’t some mediocre team that randomly had a good map against G2, they were consistent and structured. You trippin’ putting ZETA, LOUD and 100T in this argument.

Here’s the point you’re not getting: MIBR didn’t just stay the same, they got WAY worse, and it was 100% their own fault. The Stage 1 MIBR with that level of play would’ve still finished at least top 4 this split, even with Leviatán, C9, and NRG stepping up. Stop trippin bro.

Yeah they were good but never even nearly as good that they could end up beating sen or g2 or even do some Great thing internationally , Americas this year has been pretty ass weak so it wasn't like they had to do miles of hardwork to be this good (3rd position)

#16

they literally had the chance of beating both g2 and sen lol

What? Having the chance to beat a team means they had a matchup there , it doesn't mean they had a good possibility of beating them

They were better than they were in Stage 2 but still nothing special

they looked good regionally then fell off quick after EWC and Toronto. Artzin stopped IGLing but played secondary duelist along with the flex and Verno has had to IGL since and looks lost because of it

We broke them after reverse sweeping in EWC qualifiers ;)

they were good regionally in stage 1 but they flopped as soon as they hopped on the plane

Yes they were. People will say stupid shit to downplay them now because its easy, but at Stage 1 LF they were going toe to toe with g2 for the most part.

Hard to tell if they were good or if the rest were bad. Their downfall makes it even harder to distinguish

why cant both be true

#14

because now that everyone else has improved they're somehow not "good" so clearly it was just the rest being bad

guys when a team is playing poorly you can tell regardless of what the opponent is doing. By your logic MIBR right now is playing at the same level they were in stage 1. if you really think that, i doubt you watched them play at all

i mean they haven't done anything new so yes they're still playing like they did in stage 1 teams are just far better than them now

"havent done anything new" does changing IGL count? Playing new comps? no?

That's my point. With them playing worse than they did at the start of the year it's hard to know for sure how good they were before. Guess we'll have to wait to champs, if they recover their form, to see how "good" they are

the rest is still bad (except for maybe nrg)

their downfall coincided with the Tejo nerf... interesting...

they werent even using Tejo at Kickoff and were still 3rd whats your point

Artzin played Tejo 1 (one) match, and I think they even lost that one lol

Mb I forgot about Verno

ppl call G2 Tejo merchants but this team won 5 maps since he got nerfed

#17

they didn't use tejo very much. it's not very related. in fact their best maps were without tejo to the point i really thought they would benefit that he wasn't around

#29

And icebox was their best map? Like, by FAR.

Tejo meta didnt help them at all. The reason they got worse after the nerf is simply because they couldnt adapt to not using it

#33

they didnt use in ascent too but tbf yeah they used it more than i remember lol although they didnt use at all on kickoff and were good anyways

Why are you ignoring Kickoff where they made top 3 in Americas using Tejo only in 1 MAP which they LOST and never again

they were good but needed to work on the map pool to become truly great and an international contender. somehow they got it worse lol

i think in kickoff they were decent but werent convincing imo but in stage 1 they were a much more coordinated team like people dont remember them almost beating g2 in groups 😭, but in toronto + start of stage 2 they were so lost on how to play the meta shift as a team and in turn lost their mental and looked so unrecognizable but they sorta locked in to get the champs points at the end so now im kinda clueless on their form rn
