how does edg look? they haven’t been dominating the region like they used to always do are they looking good for champs? also why did this drop off happen? coming from non china watcher
kangkang practiced it multiple times, i hate this narrative that kangkang didnt try to learn yoru, he is willing to play any agent you want him to play, he played gekko, he played kay/o, he played omen IN INTERNATIONALS he was the first to learn neon properly when it became meta, EDG immediately started using him on waylay when it first released. its not kangkang not trying he just is shit at yoru and has continously been shit at it
They have been struggling, but also people are not totally aware of why. One big issue they’ve had was not necessarily the change to Jieni7, but when. Both times Jieni7 joined the starting roster it happened in the middle of a split, so the team didn’t have time to really work out the comps and coordination. Thus, they look very disjointed sometimes and often on different pages.
I think there’s some reason to be optimistic though. These 3 weeks give the team actual time to work on their comps and coordination, as well as for KK to practice Yoru. Also, Icebox rotating out for Abyss is great, as Icebox was their permaban. Furthermore, Jieni7 can absolutely shoot. I’m not saying I expect them to do super well, but I think they’ll look way more competitive than in split 2.
