Sometimes I wonder how NA teams would do if Kickoffs, Stage 1, Stage 2 were held in a LATAM country instead of in Los Angeles.
If it didn't matter for a high stakes tournament why would it matter for a less important regional league? Fnatic also had the crowd against them during lock in 23 and they also ended up winning. Crowd support has miniscule impact. Korean teams didn't even make top 4 in champs seoul despite 2 attending. Imo if a tier 1 professional team needs a crowd to win games they don't have the mental resilience to deserve to win in the first place.
people dont get how hard its to get far away from your family and friends to focus on playing for a whole year on a country full of people who dont speak your language and a culture that you dont understand so you are barely going to go outside, and you have to live with 4 pc players with 0 social skills, thats why becoming friends with your team its more important than people think
australia is closer to korea than brazil is to usa, that also leads to a bigger difference in culture and language barrier, on asia there are good schools anywhere where you can learn other languages, on latin america you cant learn another language simply by going to school, youll have to learn on your own, move to another country to learn, or pay a private teacher.
People talking about culture, language etc... The problem is getting working visas. It takes months. Loud got stuck on Ireland and didn't trained last year, furia this kickoff used a sub team on their first game etc. The brazilian teams can't just replace their players, because it takes long for the visa. Europe dosen't have this problem, pacific is less than USA. And now with crazy orange guy, this can get even worse.
