Check eSports charts. And yeah viewership dropped in every region except for EMEA. EMEA avg viewership increase by 1-2 k.

Sen dropped Tenz while Vitality created a superteam an KC got Saadhak and Suy so there must be a lack of engagement in NA and a big wave of hype coming from french fans

It doesnt really matter anyway though, the viewership will rise and drop through the years, we literally saw this during 2023 as well due to a massive wave of talent getting locked out of franchising.
Just go look at historical data for the early years of any successful esport and youll see that expecting it to rise each and every year is unrealistic

True but apac avg viewership dropping by 75k is quite a lot. But again it's most likely cause of no prx in top 4 and zeta not winning even a game.

yea exactly its just a come and go kind of thing, if those 75k were gonna be a major benefit to the scene theyd watch more than two failing rosters.
The only issue I see is the blatant lack of talent coming from Japan, they hold a massive market of viewers and we just have 0 representatives for it because all their teams are ass and there isnt any investment to gather all the best talent of the region. Talent scouting is also ATTROCIOUS

Americans for whatever reason really into superhero type stuff, so I’m guessing marvel rivals have something to do with it. Pre sure last weekend was a major fortnite tournament event too.

And in EMEA the grand finals were the same time as the IEM Katowice finals between Spirit and Vitality

If I had to guess, it's because there is no face of the league. People like myself enjoy guys like back when tenz, yay and demon1 were in their prime. With nobody at that level anymore vct has gotten stale.

They said Valorant going to kill CS but 5 years paass by... seem like valorant killing itself.

The CS playerbase has massively dropped ever since the release of valorant and CS2 didnt do anything to help the game other than the initial wave of players. Most CS league watchers dont actually play the game and CS has great production throughout its tournaments with great narratives due to years of being an esport.
Give Valorant more time, im sure it wont kill CS viewership but once the league matures and all teams are actually good in franchising itll bring back a lot of the brazilian viewers and possibly even be able to replace all the tenz stans that left the esport after his retirement

except that the cs player base grew since valorant came out, use steamdb if you don't believe me and see it for yourself

i dont doubt you on that but steamdb stats for cs have become saturated by the chinese drop/star farms

obviously that's true but saying ''the cs player base massively dropped ever since the release of valorant'' is just nonsense spewed to spread misinformation

valorant's meta change way too many times. its hard to create someone dominant like faker or s1mple to be the face of vct

Mate, League meta changes even more drastically every year. Faker stood up regardless

too much RNG involved every game. it get stale after 5 years. Mechanical wise the game is a complete joke aswell, everyone can aim insanely while having good movement unlike CS

and yet somehow the top players are absolutely dominant with their aim and completely shutdown lesser teams regardless of t he player quality

while you might not care in the short term, a lot of those viewers created massive revenue for the scene and kept it alive in order to reach where it is now. Tenz played a huge role in allowing valorant to get out of the pandemic era with a thriving esports scene and huge success globally. There are even pro players now that credit tenz as the reason they joined the league
