have you guys committed to any schools yet? if not, what are your top choices? i personally am thinking about case western, ohio state, or rutgers

penn state prolly better though
i don't know much about the rest of the school, but ohio state's chemistry program is top 20 in the country tied with hopkins. and im going as a chem major so its an option for me. im from pa so i've been surrounded by Pennstate my entire life and i do not want to go there. also the campus and location isnt really my style.

i understand, the penn state culture is everywhere. spent some years in the Trenton/Princeton area and I'd see almost as much Penn State heads as I would Rutgers or Rider or TCNJ heads

Well, here's my line of thought for picking the university I wish to attend:
- Must speak english, I don't want to go to NZ (4/5 EN countries remaining)
- Must be competitive
- I don't want to be stressed in HS, UK admission process and lack of holistic evaluation makes me not want to go (3/5 EN countries remaining)
- I want to study a natural science/environment related program (ex. Earth sciences, environmental science, ecology, etc)
- UBC is good, let's aim for UBC.
- What about the US? It seems a bit dangerous for me to study there and having visited, I personally feel like the cities are generally unpleasant compared to other places around the world.
- Canada and Australia left, both have great environment to study in and great environments to study. However, Australia's application window is late in the year, and their IB requirements are pretty low so they do good for safety.
- UBC Canada it is :D
