VCT LOCK//IN Capsule: From February 8th - March 7th 2023, 50% of net proceeds from the capsule were shared among VCT partner teams. Up to March 7th, the LOCK//IN Bundle has raised more than $10M for VCT partner teams.

If you can't do the math btw each team got an additional $312,500 so by default fnatic and every team would have gotten more earnings from that event than master winners did (and previous champ winners too).

Also riot already put more than enough funding lmao they had just gave funds to the 32 new teams that got accepted into franchising, had to rent out an entire stadium for 32 teams, and had to set up 32 matches which includes promotion and production costs too.

idk if u can read but it says prizepool in the title

riot still shouldve funded the event more because sadly it lost a lot of competitiveness

you have to consider the sheer cost of flying, housing and feeding 32 teams (224 people minimum when you only consider a team of 5, a sub and a manager)
(even as a FNC fan, who would've been happy if they won more money, I think it's understandable)
Also the prizepool (unless its absolutely insane, like I'm talking millions for #1) isn't as big of a motivator.
Normally you have to pay taxes twice, divide it in half, then divide it in in 6 or 7 to get your cut

we cab draw that the prize pools increased
champs gives more money
riot doesnt care about america viewers
emea viewers were partying

Who even cares? Those two years were a mess anyway. Real Valorant only began with franchising.

the game was still picking up steam early on. riot cant fund an esport without it having major watchers and sponsors behind it. Just give it a few more events and we can expect a major increase. but riot is also a smaller company than say valve or epic, which is why the prizepools are significantly smaller even for LoL Worlds.

the prizepool would increase for all teams if you increase it for first place

prizepool isn't a motivator is crazy when fnatic is losing 28 million dollars per year LOL the cope is certainly good
