I saw this clip of ardiis explaining why IGL should be your worst player and if he isnt, then there is something wrong with the team.

Well i would like to know how GenG had one of the most dominant years in val with Munchkin being their igl and Lakia being their by far worst player

if lakia was better they would have won champs

so he is right.

Lakia is secondary IGL but that doesnt mean anything
Just a thought id never watch any comm video but i would assume that he mid rounds

i feel like the primary midrounder should be the “worst” player on the team. they are the ones actively guiding traffic mid-round and aren’t often too focused on their aim like others on their squad.

in a lot of cases, this has been the job of the igl but in some cases the midrounder isn’t the igl and they are usually the worst performer on the team (gen.g with lakia, lev with c0m, etc.)

The game and metas are rapidly changing such as the shift of modern igl's going from senti to Initiator and so the game is changing and I think this year was the start of igl's evolving now being more efficient by simultaneously igling and fragging which means those igl's are one if the best players in the game since they have to worry about the team while also being individually really good or maybe now igling isn't something that limits individual ability anymore as much. I don't know my 1am take

Naah naah, if they made playoffs they could have easily won, I don't know how many of u all have seen this but GenG always started their tournaments slow and then picked up pace to become unstoppable, it was seen in all tournaments they played
