Am i the only one that thinks

that duelist is not actually needed on most maps

like for most retake/postplant maps duelists are just a waste when you can have more utility to make these 2 things easier for you and your team

I think teams should cook more no duelist comps, but only use them when they know they’re gonna be on defense first.

duelists are selfish af, sure you need some movement duelist otherwise you're stuck at choke points, but other than every other duelists kit is selfish af

depends, dive duelists work specifically to break through and disrupt things like retakes and setups

By your logic Yoru and phoenix should be the best duelists in the game.

I mean triple initator/smoke/chamber was run alot in 2022 but we havent seen much of it simply because on most maps you NEED an agent to get you past the choke point the only map where its feesable was icebox but thats never coming back so...

Duelist is not necessary on most maps if you play passive enough and play contact like g2 and old optic. On maps like bind and split where there are small chokes and few lanes duelist is kinda needed

Its just easier, playing no duelist means you have to play it right and methodically or the right team will stop you at least in Tier 1. It also depends on map like on icebox because of the multiple heights making it easier to attack/retake it is quite popular to not play duelist so 🤷

The only map where I think there are "good" no-duelist comps is icebox. That being said, yoru is more of an initiator so depending on how you want to look at it, there are lots of maps where no-duelist is viable.
