in pro play, we've come to (or at least i) associate sova players as the designated odin players, especially on maps like ascent.
how come more fade players don't play odin then? they're util is basically the same

The range of the eye vs the dart is very different. Bouncing the dart helps a lot in getting it into tricky areas from far. Like in Ascent mid, it is quite difficult sending the eye from tiles to outside of B Main. The dog and drone are too different too as drone can spot people through the bars of B main while dog needs to go through the entry point

It’s cause that’s the best spam spot and fade is better in other areas (eye c mound, prowler b main/mound)

if my argument is that sova and fade should both use the odin, then you saying it's hard to swing after a dog doesn't explain why sovas play odin because it's hard to swing off their util too??

Well with sova you can just spam through the wall once the drone reveals, but that is not possible with fade prowlers

What does a drone tag do? It reveals a player. A dog blinds the player and deafens them. Sova doesnt need to swing off of drone info he can odin spam off of drone info, fade cant really do that.
Also i think reveals are easier to get scans with due to bounces allowing for out of map darts and bounces. I also think fade is played on less spam dependent map, because old maps that are spammy werent really designed with her haunts in mind + teams alr developed sova playbooks by the time she came out there.

you don't really swing with sova, but with fade you need to capitalize after your dog gets them
