VCT GC "RULES" Discussion (EVERYONE COME)

Let's discuss this case together, no hatred towards each other. This is limited to justice

This is about the existing rules (please tell me if this rule is wrong or does not exist)

In the VCT GC rules it states that the maximum number of "specific gender" players is 2, while they state that this is an open event. Why should this maximum rule be given? Why don't they accept 5 "specific gender" players in one team? By giving this maximum standard for "specific gender" players, it means that they realize that there is a gap between men and women.

In my opinion and my suggestion, for teams that have "specific gender" players, a separate tournament should be created below tier 3 which can later be promoted to tier 2 and so on, even tier 1 if possible. And create an event that is specifically for players who were born female. It's sad to see these women who have worked hard and trained, while later on they encounter things like this.

What do you think? Separate events for each gender or keep it like this.

God bless you

The one thing I'm wondering is whether people would be interested in watching trans/bi etc. events or not as there's hate toward them so if they have a separate section in the vct like game changers, the viewership will be way below Riot Games expectation and the transphobes will be spamming the chat so much that it'll be a pain for them to handle these kinds of tournaments. Also, they'll have to decide when to hold these specific events as time scheduling would be a bit complicated.

They are keeping them as game changers because people still tune in to them so idk

there are not enough of those people to make the tournaments anyway

in my opinion, why not make them 1 with the existing tier 2 qualification? the premier league is free to contain all genders, right?

this is my opinion, what do you think?

Bro tier 1 allows female players as well. Chet said it on stream. He 100% knows what he's talking about as coaches make the rosters.

that's what's being discussed here, why should they disrupt a competition with fair and healthy rules and matches in their first year of holding this tournament?

why should they include a maximum of 2 "special players", why not have 1 team consist of 5 of these "special players"?

What do you think?

Please, let me know if I got the information wrong or didn't understand this sentence.

Concurrent Ownership Exception: Organizations operating at the International or Challengers League level will be allowed to field an additional roster within other tiers of the sport if the second roster is composed primarily of Game Changers players.

An organization already fielding a roster in the International Leagues will be allowed to field a Challengers League team, provided 3/5 of the roster are Game Changers eligible.

An organization already fielding a roster in the Challengers Leagues will be allowed to field a second team that competes in Premier or a Challengers League, provided 3/5 of the roster are Game Changers eligible.

that is a clause that allows orgs to make a separate team under the same org and brand as long as it has a majority game changers players, but to participate in the game changers circuit you have to be 100% gc. this rule allows the existence of two teams that have the possibility to compete against eachother as long as they have a majority gc players on one. (tldr is that you cant have two non gc teams under the same org have a possibility to play against eachother but if a roster is mixed/full gc they can, like g2 and g2 gozen playing in the same red bull bracket)

The whole point is to include gender diverse ppl into the game, they wont divide the leagues even more, the final goal for Riot is for game changers to disappear in the future because hypothetically VCT is someday gonna be played by males, females and etc.

It's a lose-lose for them if there were to be a new league for trans/nonbinary players. When they play in GC, haters will call it "men beating women" and then if they play in Tier 3 (their own hypothetical league), they'll get clowned on for not being good enough for Tier 2. Viewership will be a myth and if anything, there will be a more apparent air of toxicity from stream chat haters and such. There is pretty much no time in the schedule for another tournament so understandably trans/nonbinary players are part of the GC scene.

Look, I understand you probably feel sad for teams like ZETA GC, XIPTO or FALCONS VEGA, but you got to understand that quite a few of these GC players haven't even hit radiant. They worked hard and I respect that, but there is still work to improve upon to get your mechanics up. The strats is down to the coaching and IGLing which comes with experience and scrimming.

If the whole long-term goal is to bring GC in line with Tier 2, they are gonna be playing against men, trans, nonbinary players eventually so they can't be bubble-wrapped forever. Really, it's about embracing the challenge and focusing on supporting the teams you like than hating the teams you don't like.

That means all GC teams have to adapt quickly to this in order to stay competitive in this event, right? no excuses or complaints whatsoever

hot take? #VALORANTChampions

1) this is incredibly disrespectful to the sport, to the viewers, to the opponents and to the tournament organisers and should not be allowed by RIOT in the first place to jump off like that to deny a round.
Maybe it is actually not allowed and if thats the case, G2 should be fined.
But if this is actually allowed or wasnt predicted by RIOT in the first place, thats on RIOT.
I spoke about this potential problem out loud on day 1 of Abyss release.

2) i understand that this negates LEV of getting 1000 creds and 5 orbs for killing the G2 players
BUT i think this is literally trolling/throwing a round by G2. In VALORANT every round is winnable, every round is doable and you just robbed your team off that chance.
Not only that, LEV didnt have to use a single utility piece to win this round which saves shitton of cash, and didnt have to rebuy any shields.
If you wanted to troll this round, G2, at least do it properly and jump off after your opponents planted, so you would waste more time and make them use util.

i dont agree, and i think ur jumping to conclusions.

the way i interpret this rule (tbh i have never seen it myself, just ppl talk abt it) , is that it is in place to stop players not truly representing a 'marginalized gender' from competing, and i can elaborate

there was a player, who truly didnt represent as such, and played in game changers. 'keenc' was a gc player who was basically faking being non binary (the way i understood the story)
he still had to join a team with women, and the women in the team had to accept playing with him. idk much about the team dynamic, but i imagine it took some work and effort

if this rule WASNT in place, keenc could just grab some friends and they could all say they are non binary, despite them not feeling that way truly. keenc wouldnt have to find people to play with. he and his friends could just play in gc without having to put any effort, as the real transgender players do

this isnt the confirmed reason, but i do believe that this rule helps prevent people like keenc from playing in game changers, making it way more difficult to find and join a team

If cis-women cant beat Flor/SRN/Jelly how the fuck are they gonna play against Aspas/Derke/texture gc is a joke and should not exist riot should instead just force every team to add a women (trans or not.)

So all teams that will compete in GC must quickly adapt to this so they can survive in the following year, right?

just ascend all the "specific genders" or born as male players to play in VCT. GC for females. World peace.

vct is for all genders already

ok then just make GC strictly for females or born as female players. The rest can play in VCT. Nobody is stopping them in VCT. Production team dont need to selectively mute their desktop cameras in those replays...
