NRG Superteam?

Is this actually a real superteam now?

FNS - Top 3 IGL of all time
s0m - Best Controller Last Year and very good this year
Ethan - World Champ + Best Support/Initiator
Verno - Best T2 NA Initiator ans probably best T2 player imo
Mada - Upcoming cracked duelist from T2
Bonkar - Insane coach was able to do so much with such little in T2

Definitely not a superteam yet but can make it. Mada and verno just need to stick to their T2 form which they probably will do and NRG will for sure get a top 3 this year.

no. fns isnt the best mechanical player in his role, mada is unproven and verno is a rookie. objectively NOT a superteam by any metric.

very valid upgrades to vic and crashies

potentially a superteam, not right now bcs 2 not proven rookies, but they gonna smash everything, verno is the new leo, and mada is absurd and with the best flash init of all time and s0m who frags really really well, has everything to be a tier S team

Well if you read the post then you would've saw I said yet and that Verno and mada need to keep the form up from T2. Also FNS being not a mechanical Warlord doesn't have to do with anything since FNC 2023 has boaster (sry boaster) a not mechanically good IGL that was still considered a superteam.

last year's team was better

I wouldn't call it a super team yet, haven't even seen how good the rookies are in tier 1

mada will have to prove that he has what it takes to compete against the best in the region then, and i dont think its fair to compare boaster to fns because while they both aren't known for their fragging ability, at least boaster had clearly drastically improved his aim to at least hold his own on that fnatic roster while fns has not improved as significantly as boaster in his mechanics, if he even improved at all. also, every player on that fnatic roster had proven at least once before that they were the best in their roles against other tier 1 players. a superteam cant be a superteam if one of their players is seen as a liability due to their mechanics, even if it is the igl. this is why hardly any team, no matter how stacked the team is, has truly earned the title of superteam. on vlr.gg we throw this word around flippantly, when it reality a super team is extremely rare in valorant, at least for now.

2023 1 year ago (2025 hasn't started) FNC won back to back with who? Boaster. The same boaster who put up horrid stats in Champs. Also you're acting like teams who win this year didn't have shitters on the team. Lakia and Zellsis 2 shitters that can shoot once a blue moon (no hate tho I love them) still won this year.

they can be upgrades from victor and crashies, but that still doesnt automatically make them a superteam. if they are not proven in tier 1, then the team cannot be called a superteam. there is a possibility for it in the future, but it also involves fns stepping up more too.

To be considered a super team you got to have super players

I dont know about super team, but definitely good on paper and hopefully good in actual execution and performance, had high hopes last year and a combination of issues ruined that season, so hopefully we start out strong this year

That’s the good part, they aren’t a super team. They are all very good players with good util usage and can all pop off any day. This is all -FNS btw cause he’s just the at much better than the rest of them.
