He knew but he didn't know that the team getting kicked was bleed. To be fair, it seemed like even bleed didn't know that this was going to happen to them. But boom must have had inside knowledge from rito themselves.
BOOM CEO confirmed that he only knows like 1-2 hour before Riot announce it on Twitter. In a podcast just hours ago, he said that its standard procedure to hold their team for 1-2 weeks after the ascension tournament end for a similar situation with BLEED where riot has a problem with one of their Franchised org and really need a quick easy "replacement" which BOOM is the perfect choice as they're the runner-up team for Pacific ascension 2024. They did it too last year when they placed 4th in APAC ascension 2023.
Bleed management knows that they have a "big" problem with riot regarding contracts weeks before the announcement and might be kicked from the league but they for unknown reason does not relay the news to their valorant coaches and players.
