2game esports has 500 followers... im thinking they might not pass Riot's requirements for franchise? Is there another big franchise worthy esports org in BR or maybe M80 can still bid their way in?

I mean what does riot expect when they dont invest anything in tier 2

wrong account, its 2gameesports_br

also who cares if they can show proof of stability (they have really good funding for an esports team started 7 months ago with a revenue stream outside of val selling game keys [also rich owner]) and pay players we should be for smaller orgs getting their shot

dawg that is the account on twitter with 500 followers.. now it could be cause twitter is banned in brazil... but still if guard couldnt make it.. idk if 2esport will be willing to go franchise.. is there any other org in Brazil though?

guard couldn't make it because their owners purposefully sabotaged the entire organization, totally different story

riot doesn't like orgs selling slots and this is a stable company with an alternate revenue stream to esports just because they are less known doesn't mean they should lose their slot

brotha im not saying they SHOULD.. im saying they COULD.. i literally dont know what Riot's criteria is.. i mean even Optic couldnt make it nor could XSET.. MIBR, Furia and LOUD are pretty big.. so is KRU.. im ASKING if there is another big org in Brazil cause i know 2gEsports players are chilling either way

people can't understand rich people sometimes like to own teams and even if there's no profit, they do it for pure pleasure (also probably for money laundering but not the point xd)

So you are telling me that only the big orgs who riot didn't get in initially are allowed to keep the slot? Literally what the fuck?

seems like that.. doesnt it? given how many orgs couldnt make franchising... idk what their criteria is and whether smaller orgs will ever have a shot

but that makes 0 sense for me. So by this logic there needs to be plenty of big orgs in tier 2, spending their money year in year out just to be in franchising for 1 year guaranteed? What about that whole ''anyone can make it to vct'' narrative? Going from premier and into franchsing? Premier team will not have the funding

yeah i mean esports teams are not making any money even in franchised which is why you see almost 0 interest in spending from orgs like C9 and EG.. they cant keep feeding players for 12 months so maybe Riot's criteria is to make sure they dont crash out mid season and stop paying pros to play.. a non funded premier will never make it to franchised brother.. thats a full time job and they need to be paid

but then I just don't understand who riot deems worth it to be in franchising thru ascension then. the fact that last year ascension got two big orgs in bleed and g2 is once in a lifetime, this year features apeks (decent org, not as big as navi/fnatic/heretics/liquid tho), 2game (small) in emea and americas

also i think they will find it hard to survive (the org not the players).. i mean its all sweet right now since 2g won but once reality sets in.. you have bigger orgs willing to spend more money on players to snatch away from 2g and any other small team.. they will face the heat.. like LOUD couldnt keep 2 players after champs.. how many would 2g or a small org be able to keep? you need big fish to stay competitive

Which is my personal issue with the entire tier 2. Your tier 1 stay is short term, your players will get easily poached by higher salaries and a permanent slot

2Game seems to be very generic but they're very professional with their team. They had good infraestructure for their team and pay the team a bootcamp on Europe before Ascension. They have staff and a psychologist (which I'm almost certain that some BR orgs on franchise don't have).

M80 sticks to NA though unless they wanna buy the roster if allowed

M80 seems really interested in franchise.. they would need to keep 3/5 players atleast.. so i dont know maybe its possible they go BR

there is no way that m80 or another NA org is getting the spot. If 2G isnt accepted, players will prob go to Red Canids, Pain or another

which is why i asked if there is another BR org.. im not wanting NA to get the slot.. even if it is NA org it would be BR org as they have to keep the players

there are a lot of big brazillian orgs, they just aint got no team but theres def a few of them who could join val and afford franchising. Red canids, pain, and most league of legends orgs can afford a lot of money

Maybe they are not a popular org but they pay their players. Quick transition to LA is going to be difficult but they'll get it done
