If he wasn't as popular as he is, if he was on may be s0m level in popularity, He probably would have continued playing for few more years. With how much he achieved already and the potential they had for next year by upgrading on sacy( as much as i love sacy I have to be honest) it's pretty safe to say they would have gone on a tear. I wonder if he will look back at this as regrets when he turns like 30-40 years old.

yeah but there were multitudes of factors. One very important one was probably missing out on Shanghai. There are so few international LANs in a year and if you can't make it there consistently then it feels like you are just practicing and practicing for nothing.
Practicing 10-12 hours a day takes away most of the energy. I wish he just realized with the new team that SEN was gonna build, with him as a part of it he could have easily made it to all the LANs. It basically could have been our Fnatic level superteam but better since we had a strong core, a fragging IGL and add N4rrate/verno on top of that.

I am not denying that he got a lot of leeway but I am stating the reason for it. It wasn't because he was popular it was because people around him trusted him. They knew how good he was as a player and knew that he never liked playing and entry duelist. He didn't do hard entries in 2021 either. It just made a lot of sense to move him over to flex and let a young prodigy play the duelist role.
