1) Free VCT slot: From the looks of it the team that will mostly win ascension is apeks and it's only real competition is Pcfic , if apeks win they can't get into vct as a team as their owner recently purchased vct polaris and so it's some kind of conflicting interests thus if they win, any org can pick this team up and get a slot in the vct easily.( This news seems to be wrong sorry don't consider this point,)
2) Kaajak and comeback seem to be the best duelists as seen from ascension, so many people are heavily wanting apeks to lose in order to pick up Kaajak.
3) Since fnc is looking for a good duelist in the EMEA T2 the most likely options for them to pick up are Kaajak and Xeus ( comeback is still 17 and won't be 18 until June of next year so not available)

i don't think he saying it isn't shit because it is and it isn't a take it is a fact with the new ascending system you only have 1 guaranteed year in VCT and no org is gonna waste that with players they know are shit this is the fact of the matter orgs like apeks/pcific would have to get MASSIVE upgrades just to be not mid at the T1 level only really having 2-3 good players if we are being nice so what mortadelo is saying less of a take more of a realistic scenario that is why TU had alot of fans new player base for EU plus allowing players like kaajak and other talented players to picked up by good teams instead of bumming it out with T2 teams and being all around mid and wasting there talent for a entire year

Look, Esport orgs are companies, before, their performance didn't affect how many years they got to be in franchising, but now they NEED to win in order to stay. Orgs often have invested hundreds of thousands of dollars for the sole purpose of Ascending and if you think they're not gonna try to do everything they can to protect that just because someone "grinded all year" you don't really know how a company works
youd think there being an easy to google article making it very clear that everyone is aware of the conflict of interest and have taken steps to make sure it wont be an issue would kill this rumor, but thing just keeps coming back x.x

Nah this is the original rumor. Started during last years offseason.
Cant really comment on your one, Ive not asked anyone closely involved with Apeks or Mist about if they foresee a shift in fokus on the TO side.
All I can really say is that there really arent any reliable rumors about Apeks leaving going around the Polaris scene atm to my knowledge.
I can lay that rumour to rest. Mistgames was Apeks' sister company for a couple of years before initiating talks with Riot regarding Polaris. We separated the two companies completely to avoid conflict of interest. Mistgames is a completely separate company now. If we manage to win Ascension this year, we will of course not be leaving.
