Every region come (amer, apac, china, emea)

You guys need to understand, the only reason every region seems "equal" in skill level, its because EU interest in valorant is so low, that our skill level at this game is on par with other regions.
The moment EU loses interest in games like CS and Dota 2, oh boy oh boy, you guys are done so.
Literally the top 4 of every tournament would be EU teams, and this forum would be full of EU fans begging to take away slots from other regions and give them to EU. Any tier 2 EU team would be stomping SEN, EDG, GenG, etc. Most of the top players from Americas, Apac, China, would be instantly playing on Tier 2 EU teams, and the best region for pubs will be EU.
So, China, Americas, APAC, feel proud of being "good" at the game, when the reality is, you are only good as long as EU isnt interested in valorant.

for a long time valorant has already been played more in korean pc bangs than overwatch btw,in pc bangs it is actually already the most played fps game and 3rd overall only behind fifa and league, now its probably even more popular with gen g's rise

For even angels lose their halos in the depths of the gluttonous abyss. My sanity drains with every low-quality post I read and every autopilot post I make. The ritual we know as vlr.gg requests for each participant to sacrifice an intangible fragment of themselves, and it is those users with slippery fingers who abandon more than they might've intended to initially. cloudberry, we are fortunate people, but being just that comes at a price too.

Valorant is too hard for CS pros: https://youtu.be/i9gGZgNbhA0?si=VAFmTOqBoumF5A3D

If it really was so easy for them to switch and dominate, they would have, end of discussion.

because they dedicate their time a whole different game with different mechanics?
And you forgot how many valorant pros had a background with CS?
Tenz, Zellsis, aspas, c0m, ethan, FNS, s0m, xeppa, leaf list goes on and on. Obviously now you have more talent without cs experience, but they layed the foundation for the game

i actually would like numbers on this because the number of people watching korean vct, both before and after franchising, does NOT line up with your statement. maybe the casual community is higher but there doesn't seem to be a corresponding interest in the pro scene

The point is why would they dedicate their time to a different game if they could so easily come to valorant and win everything? It would be a no-brainer, especially financially, so why not switch? They answer that question in the video, Valorant is harder - they said it themselves.

the OP is retarded for making such claim, but there is no reason to switch when salaries are really big in CS. why would s1mple switch when he can afford to buy Porsches every year, why would zywoo switch when he earns 80k, it's not a sinatraa situation where overwatch league was dying. CS scene is growing and at rapid pace. IF cs were to die in 2020, then yeah, you would see way more pros leaving, salaries are the reason most pros left. players like subroza, wardell, dappr left because they weren't good enough for Liquid and EG, got mad at this, still wanted big salaries, and when orgs KNEW that riot would implement franchising they gave huge bags to subpar players. Everyone got what they wanted, valorant got a part of the pro scene and first orgs, players got the bag and orgs got acknowledgement from riot that they are willing to spend money

point still stands, there are a lot of talented people across regions who get funneled into different games simply because the culture is different. americas players into r6 (from my understanding) and cod, emea players into cs, apac players into ow and mobile games, cn players into whatever games are legal in china because they have the firewall to deal with. every region has talent that could kick ass if they transferred into valorant, we just do not know, and we can't know. so we compare the players we've got.

i don't really think we have enough of a sample size of ow players to say for sure that the transition is easier for them. sure back in 2021 it was definitely easier to transition from cs, but i genuinely think that in 2024 with how much the meta has shifted towards setup plays dumping massive amounts of utility (play that one clip of the guy watching eg v prx on bind and having no clue what is happening), players who understand ability usage more will start to thrive aka overwatch players. of course, this is just what a nobody like myself thinks about it, i am not an expert.

thanks, this is actually pretty interesting to look at. i still wouldn't personally say that the numbers are big enough to justify your sentiment that most people in kr who would be good already play valorant, but we can agree to disagree.

Why would CS pros switch to Val? CS salaries are a lot higher than Val, there's no reason to play val unless you're a tier 2 reject or washed cs pro that no org wants
