Japan or India (valorant)

We all know ZETA run in 2022 was cinderalla run so cant even really take that into account can we

Japan valorant is compared to the other leagues quite bad im afraid. We have 2 jp teams in vct and theyre both doing really bad, the only notable thing was ZETA qualifying for champs last year but even then very questionable performance

pretty much whole dfm roster this year and last year (except meiy obviously) are very medicore players, with ZETA crow hiroronn

seriously questioning now whether india in val might become better in future years than japan

indias best tier 2 team is carried by 2 kazakhs

that venka guy is good though and skrossi is decent

we have decent players but we don't have em together. The rosters are like 2/1 young prodigy with 3/4 washed veteran.

Geographically JP benefits heavily by scrimming VCT teams that are in KR. JP has really good org support, JP has the finance to maintain e-sport scene in long term and has ambitious LAN event. JP > India and it's not even close.

I'm not going to overrate japan but istg this narative about japan being bad is srsly starting to annoy me

I disagree. It is closer than people think. Im really looking forward to apac ascension, we will then see whether indian t2 can hold up with the scene or not.

And also all the points you mentioned, do they not speak against japan? Despite all of the resources they have theyre still at the level they are?

Last year despite there being 2 japanese team in the top scene and the indian team in tier 1 being mostly import,Japan's ascension team reached the final of ascension, while India's best that dominated SA failed to get a single win. What more evidence do you want?

Yeah zeta had a shaky performance in champs 2022 but I feel like if they played blg first instead of fnc they would have at least made playoffs instead of blg but like them they would have gone 0-2 in playoffs

India has too many social problems (starting with religion) to ever become competetive in Valorant. The amount of talent should obviously be there but theres no space for that talent to flourish.

Japan have no potential, they have not enough people to have a viable T1, having 2 or 3 team in T1 is enough for Japan.

India is still an undeveloped country with access to PC, population of India is higher than population of full APAC, in long term when the country will become the top 3 power in the world (That will probably happen during the 2030's/2040's years), the country may become a T1, in, the same fashion than LoL in China raised until they come a T1 region starting from nothing, that can't happen for Japan.

But today it's too early, and they can be glad they have a T2 region, Subsaharia doesn't have a T2 region (yet, I believe next year they will have their T2 region, so we can have 8 regions in EMEA and drop the playin with a horrible format)

If I would be more precise, I would say they are in between, they are not fully developed everywhere, some places are developed, some places are not, I'm curious the know how mush Indian have access to a PC for example, or water that home directly to their house and other intresting dats, if you have it I gladelt take it.

Korea fill their population gap, by PC culture, league being the "national sport" really helps and will probably keep korea alive for a long time.
When it relates to one precise sport a country can found themself in 3 situations (They have some in between ofc but thats for making understand) :

• 1/ National sport (Korea)
• 2/ Sport already conquer that market (NA-EU-SEA-JP-BR)
• 3/ Sport didn't developed yet (MENA-Subsaharia-India)

With enough marketing effort and when the country is enough developed, you can always make a country in 3/ into 2/, and what will differentiate a country in 2/ is their population. A country in 1/ will always be able to fight against any other country in 2/ even if 2/ have x100 their population.
In Val KR is in 1.5/ (Because of PC culture, but thats not at the level of a LoL that is truly a national sport) while Japan is around 2.

What is fun, is that every T1 region without the undeveloped part got roughly 1G population (1 000 000 000 population)

as much as I hate both of them (in valorant) I think japan still better than india in terms of everything

Iirc, One of the russian and the filipino has dual citizenship with their other citizenship being japanese so they are both japanese citizen. And yoshii is ethnically japanese, not sure about kr1stal.

Scarz is as japanese as RVNT is Indian
