Champs should only be held in Europe, that would give the best viewership times overall
NA isnβt even gonna watch Sentinels if the games are at 4am π
cloudberry [#4]Just keep it in Seoul but use Masters Tokyo times
most people who have tickets are probably still gonna be at work around that time 2 pm isnt ideal for them at all
Philosopher_Stone [#11]Honestly I am starting to believe that this year it was the main strategy of VALORANT's marketing department to being more viewership to China and APAC in general, so much so that they made these horrendous time schedules for their main audience
really? valorant the game owned by china wants china to watch it? what a surprise

Come on man. Let us have something. We watch Americas at like 3 am in the morning
Harapan845 [#12]really? valorant the game owned by china wants china to watch it? what a surprise
i mean yeah duh but like the approach seems hella forced considering there are so many western viewers
Philosopher_Stone [#14]i mean yeah duh but like the approach seems hella forced considering there are so many western viewers
china still has more views anyways
Denjisideals [#13]Come on man. Let us have something. We watch Americas at like 3 am in the morning
OK -- but these are regional tournaments ofc they are going to be horrendous to watch in APAC

As a country yes, as a region its even with americas

Last year's Champs started after Midnight in India and even later in the eastern side of Asia
Philosopher_Stone [#17]As a country yes, as a region its even with americas
but you also have apac viewership on top of that
im literally fine with the matches starting at 12 AM EST = 1 PM SEOUL, they pushed a lot of the events further back for Americas it used to be 3 PM starting time on the East Coast now it's 5 PM, I mean most of the viewership is in EMEA/NA excluding China so why wouldn't you try to accomodate EMEA and Americas
Denjisideals [#18]Last year's Champs started after Midnight in India and even later in the eastern side of Asia
I am on with you there, in internationals and especially champs they gotta make these schedules more flexible
"+" this year we already had a tourney in China with hella mid viewership

3,100,000 = Total
1,687,848 = Non-China
1,412,152 = China
China's views gap every individual Region + 1 more probably
maxrr [#5]most people who have tickets are probably still gonna be at work around that time 2 pm isnt ideal for them at all
who give a shit about the locals tho, are they sleeping at 2 pm or nah?
nobody___100 [#23]who give a shit about the locals tho, are they sleeping at 2 pm or nah?
Riot probably cares more about the locals than your ass sitting in the US of A because you don't pay to watch the match while the locals pay riot to watch live.
