Champs should only be held in Europe, that would give the best viewership times overall
NA isn’t even gonna watch Sentinels if the games are at 4am 💀

CN viewership goes crazy
paris like 5-6pm after people get off work is like China (yes all of china have the same timezone) 11-12am, and the later game would be like 2-3 am.

edit: seoul and china is only an hour away so the viewship would be up by a shit ton

most people who have tickets are probably still gonna be at work around that time 2 pm isnt ideal for them at all

are you stupid?

China alone had 45% of the total views for either Madrid or Champions 2023, with the timezone being fucking shit for them.

They'll easily have over 55% of the total views, not to mention their in-game market already exceeds several countries by themself.

Honestly I am starting to believe that this year it was the main strategy of VALORANT's marketing department to being more viewership to China and APAC in general, so much so that they made these horrendous time schedules for their main audience

im literally fine with the matches starting at 12 AM EST = 1 PM SEOUL, they pushed a lot of the events further back for Americas it used to be 3 PM starting time on the East Coast now it's 5 PM, I mean most of the viewership is in EMEA/NA excluding China so why wouldn't you try to accomodate EMEA and Americas

I am on with you there, in internationals and especially champs they gotta make these schedules more flexible

"+" this year we already had a tourney in China with hella mid viewership

3,100,000 = Total
1,687,848 = Non-China
1,412,152 = China

China's views gap every individual Region + 1 more probably

Riot probably cares more about the locals than your ass sitting in the US of A because you don't pay to watch the match while the locals pay riot to watch live.
