Anime recommendations

So I just finished Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress and realised I really like the steampunk and historical setting and I really like worlds that are built with one sole thing that is different about them. Things like the abyss from Made in Abyss, Titans in AOT, Hiruko in Heavenly Delusion etc. Looking for more shows that are like that. Planning to watch Dororo next but don't know what else after that. Also really like character driven stories with great world building, dont really care about an overarching motive (thats why I prefer NieR Replicant to NieR Automata)

Favourite shows ever are Heavenly Delusion and Made in Abyss so things like that maybe

While that is the MC's job at first, the story goes much deeper than detective work

sadly heavenly delusion probably isnt getting a season 2 either even though its my favourite ever show

i was looking at 86 but dont really like most mecha anime but drifers looks interesting

If you like steampunk, watch Deca-Dence. It's a heavily slept on and underrated anime. There is a moment in the season where something major gets revealed and it seems odd, but just keep watching and it will be worth it.

One Piece is the definition of adventure and has many unique things about it. I'm sure you've heard of it and have or haven't watched it, but just wanted to express how much I am enjoying it, even though it's very long. I'm caught up and I feel like it went by too fast. I see, I mean it is up to you, but just to let you know, the comedy reduces arc by arc until you just start to miss it. Ik that YouTube predominantly has comic clips available, but there are many serious arcs as well

Mawaru Penguindrum

These 3 are set in a more modern day world (similar to heavenly delusion minus the post apocalypse) but have a slight change which sets up an incredible story. All great shows which i’m sure you’ll like

Odd Taxi and Golden Kamuy I keep forgetting about but definitely want to watch Odd Taxi soon, i really liked most of season 1 of To Your Eternity but it got very same-y so never watched season 2, heard so much about Devilman Crybaby and should check it out and will check out Mawaru Penguindrum, thanks
