So how did Brazil get three slots in VCT franchising despite being the worst valorant nation in the entire world? All three teams are consistently at the bottom of the rankings since the start of franchising era.
There is a reason Brazil has 3 slots. The idea of franchising teams are riot giving permanent? spots for orgs they TRUST. Of course Riot is going to trust FURIA and MIBR bc they were big orgs in Counter strike (I think pls correct me if im wrong). Also Brazil has a big fanbase (Not bigger than NA but still huge)

I mean if I was riot I would prioritize actual good Valorant instead of trash Valorant.
Average_NA_fan [#5]worst valorant nation has a champions and asscific doesnt kinda worrisome
Pre-franchising era championships never counted. Those were mickey mouse tourneys.
Sage-Breach [#10]Pre-franchising era championships never counted. Those were mickey mouse tourneys.
Is every lan a Mickey mouse lan??? Ftist 6 lans were Mickey mouse and lock in and Tokyo? Also Madrid too???
nihso [#9]I mean if I was riot I would prioritize actual good Valorant instead of trash Valorant.
Well did riot know the performance of these teams in 2024 when they signed the agreement in 2023? Tbf FURIA wasnt to bad in 2023

Don't forget everyone who said Shanghai as well

I mean true but now they need to add relegation to remove them.
Serath [#17]Think about India man, what has GE achieved in valorant ever.
India doesn’t have three teams representing them in Pacific. Come back here again when they do.
nihso [#23]GC is tier 2?
Yes in terms of GC, its tier 2.
If we are talking about not only GC then they would be tier 3.
Old Loud with Sacy and Aspas was an example of an actual impressive brazillian roster. Right now i feel like the talent is being diluted among teams that don't know how to use them.
Aspas on LEV is not getting the same amount of support he did with LOUD, and Saadhak is not having the shooters that would enable his calling. It's like taking a sniper rifle away from a seasoned sniper and giving it to a rookie.
Mibr is just shitting the bed idk what's happening there.

Tier 2 in GC is still pretty bad man
nihso [#7]I mean this take is just the truth. 3 wasted franchise slots that could've went to NA. Sadly riot won't relegate them. 😞
we dont want to be in your fucking country too lmao send us back
andriod1523 [#26]the t2 japan team? like in red bull home ground?
We were talking about the GC team not the challengers team.
anyth1ng [#29]we dont want to be in your fucking country too lmao send us back
Why don't they give Brazil franchise for them then? So they can bomb out of lans each time?
Sage-Breach [#22]India doesn’t have three teams representing them in Pacific. Come back here again when they do.
Nor does Indonesia
nihso [#27]Tier 2 in GC is still pretty bad man
I think Fennel GC is pretty good, they placed second in their split.
But I would support them even if they didn't play well, I just like the team.
Sage-Breach [#10]Pre-franchising era championships never counted. Those were mickey mouse tourneys.
"any event that my team didn't win is a mickey mouse"

They haven't achieved anything then. U hate on India for what??
Serath [#31]We were talking about the GC team not the challengers team.
then specify fennel gc. Fennel is the t2 japan team
nihso [#32]Why don't they give Brazil franchise for them then? So they can bomb out of lans each time?

Asking this just shows how fucking dumb you are. You either know nothing about countries other than US or you just lack functional braincells
nihso [#36]They haven't achieved anything then. U hate on India for what??
I just replied to the thread, I don't hate India, I even support India, It's just they have such a bad team and theres so much wasted talent and opportunities for the players but GE still chose the worst options to represent their team.
my-dad-ate-my-toes [#13]Don't forget everyone who said Shanghai as well
So true. All lans in Valorant are Mickey mouse and no team is good at valorant
shaq_attaqr [#37]If we’re talking countries with franchised teams then surely japan is the undisputed worst no? Still riding the high of a 2 year old fluke run and have 2 of the bottom 3 apac teams currently, no exports either
Japan is a better Valorant nation per capita. Brazil just has a large population but not proportionate to decent valorant players.
nihso [#14]I mean true but now they need to add relegation to remove them.
If riot adds relegation you will see big orgs from all 3 leagues pulling out. They signed on to get permanent stability in a league
Sage-Breach [#43]Japan is a better Valorant nation per capita. Brazil just has a large population but not proportionate to decent valorant players.
Retarded Take, there are a Lot of tallent in Brazil that you simply never Heard about.
Look at MIBR team, nobody knew who this guys were, but you are just trolling for comments so fuck this post
nihso [#14]I mean true but now they need to add relegation to remove them.
Franchise Orgs have a 4 year contract that will be up for renew/reevaluation in 2027. So say an org like EG collapses (due to the state theyre in, just an example) the slot will be replaced with another org, same could be said with Furia, MIBR, other orgs in other regions who didn't seem to put effort into investing
