true, also an actually good organic storyline that made the annoying freaks who treat players like kpop idols mad as they won a trophy over their pookies
only thing brazil is good at is being annoying on vlr
100t vs mibr first match at kick off and also brazilians hate boostio
aspas touching the trophy in 2024: flirting
boostio touching the trophy in 2023: harassment
sen and g2 only trash talk if you care about the org’s social media manager more than the players, the players themselves never really do it
observations can be opinion-based, those things aren’t mutually exclusive. I promise you this is not as deep as you’re trying to make it lol, I have no issues with them placing 2nd and didn’t mean to imply anything bad or offend anyone. All I was saying is how they did it doesn’t really seem replicable watching it back
it’s really not that serious man I’m just making an observation
I’m rewatching champs 2023 playoffs because I wanted to compare it to this year and I forgot how lucky prx were to even make it to grand finals. They literally pulled unreplicable wins out of their ass vs loud on lotus and eg on pearl, it was like a cruel god cursed them to make 2nd again
If I’m a riot employee scripting this event I have edg or sen win, gets them the most money
to me at least the meta felt way less puggy when skye was op because info was so easy to get, idk if that means the skill ceiling was actually higher or not but it felt like teams were throwing rounds way less than they do now. Also the storylines culminating in champs were peak, eg underdog run, prx jingg last dance (at the time), loud running it back vs fnc and ultimately ending their dominance
skye nerf made every match feel like ranked compared to last year, plus the map pool has been dogshit all year, fuck icebox
your flair literally won champs in front of a home crowd last year so yeah I think it's a coincidence
which team do we support now? DRX look good but idk this tournament is too hard to predict
bro is reality shifting looking for a universe in which emea isn't dogshit kkkkkkk
counting regional trophies the same as international ones is actually embarrassing ngl
he’s making fun of the way fnc fans overhyped them going into champs saying derke was best duelist itw and boaster learned to frag
foxy9 missed a shot, died and then mako and buzz rotated and killed everyone. Repeat like 5 times
EG (unless potter leaves), Heretics, KRU
The law of EMEA states that whenever one team does well internationally, all others must suck ass. Some experts refer to this law as the law of the one team region.
if I ever get this acoustically obsessed with regional dick measuring contests in a video game just put me down
not only are the the storylines not as good as the past couple years, the map pool has been so ass all year long and I hate how puggy everything feels ever since the skye nerfs
2023 champs just had goated storylines tbh, fnc looking for the 3peat, prx with jinggg leaving, eg with the craziest underdog story in val history, loud coming back into form after a dogshit tokyo. This tournament doesn't really feel like a culmination of the year's storylines except for geng cementing themselves as the goats I guess
literally emea 2023 again lmao, geng are their fnc
what happened is that a team which literally started practicing together during last year’s champs and never really stopped peaked early on when other teams were still getting their shit together. Then once other teams got more familiar they fell off. Not that complicated
none of the cn teams except maybe fpx would make playoffs anyway, edg are fraudulent
no one should be surprised that prx get a lot of first kills, the problem is they throw the man advantages afterwards. Based on current form G2 probably beat them again unless they troll the map veto
anyone who watched madrid with their own 2 eyes saw that it was extremely low level valorant, loud made top 4 while playing like absolute ass, prx were literally experimenting with monyet throughout the tournament and there were monumental throws even in grand finals. Boaster wasn’t even the only one who said this, at the very least I remember boostio saying something similar
everyone else has it harder for having to put up with you
c9 didn't even fall off they just had a lucky schedule, kru actually did fall off now that they brought mta in for klaus
his jett isn't as good as his raze/neon imo, yeah he got that one crazy clip but his movement isn't as good on jett in general. Tbf having a good jett isn't as important this split since she's only really a must-play on ascent
eg only lost to good teams this year (except for c9)
I think the most likely scenario is that both they and kru win vs c9 and either of 100t or eg lose out
FNC Elmapuddy on VCT events in 2024: “The goal is to win all three”
fnc flair talking about falling off is the most shameless thing I've seen in a while
it's sad to be this uninterested in actually listening to what people are saying when they've taken their time to answer the question you asked them. At least you can watch your washed team go 0-2 at internationals, I have to watch potter try and make miracles happen again with jawgemo and friends
eg 2023 is looked back on fondly for a few reasons, personally I like them because they played extremely clean valorant that prioritised teamwork over individualism most of the time while still having room for innovation on maps like fracture and pearl. They also had undeniably the most insane underdog storyline in valorant history and completely imploded right after winning champs without even retaining a core so they never fell off as a team in the way 2021 sen, 2023 nrg or 2024 fnc and loud did
it’s actually ange1, navi literally went from top 4 maybe top 3 emea to bottom 3 as soon as doombros left
can they at least beat c9 so they don't make playoffs either, I don't wanna see those frauds anymore
I remember sliggy saying this at some point during kickoff but it's gonna be pretty much impossible to top 2023 for storylines, we had the 3-11 comeback on map 5 of lock in grand finals, prx being revitalised after dropping their igl and especially the absurd eg underdog run from looking like a bottom 5 team in franchising to winning champs which imo is one of the craziest storylines in esports history. 2024 has still been pretty good though with the revival of sen and apac first trophy
jawgemo vs aspas neon h2h, this could be the most fun match to watch this whole split
fns with a rifle is a liability because he focuses too hard on trying to win a gunfight
if he keeps throwing tantrums and the team keeps spiraling I can see them dropping him tbh
surely you meant ethan flash initiator and derrek info, also boostio is still better than those igls he's just on a dead team, potter can fix his mental
meh people don’t talk enough about how goated eg were on ascent back then, I think the choice to ban it over fracture was overhated. I think it was just a gamble that didn’t pay off
ok now I’m 100% convinced he’s incompetent, how does he not tell his team to buy 2 odins on defence and hold chokes vs a comp like this, it’s literally a free win. It’s not even a new antistrat, EG did this to loud at kickoff
this comp is actual ass, you have no dive for chokes so the double odin antistrat eg did vs loud at kickoff wrecks it but t0rmi is a moron
