What’s truly sad about GENG

Is that there’s a really high chance they will probably still get less hype and expectations for Champions compared to PRX. Even though GENG won Kick Off and reached the Madrid final, all it had to take for everyone to jack off to PRX again was a 2-3 loss in the split 1 final. GENG were the obvious 1st seed, just like how TH was the obvious 1st seed and not flukenatic.

PRX hype needs to die, GENG will carry APAC for the 3rd time in a row. They will probably be the greatest team of all time at the rate they’re heading.

PRX fans are mostly delulu but i've seen more and more on the site starting to wake up and realize that their team won't be winning anything soon

Baffles my mind that people genuinely thought this entire tournament was set up for PRX to win and to bring home APAC’s 1st trophy, every analyst ever actually bought into the hype just because Jinggg came back. Watch it happen all over again once PRX goes back to farming mid teams in their region.

This just proves you never watched PRX at stage 1. They looked nothing like their stage 1 selves and played atrocious. The idea that the torunament was "set up for PRX to win" was because they were the best team ITW in Stage 1(barely debatable), and the Viper and Cypher nerfs would hurt other teams, but PRX would be fine.

To be fair, PRX did look insane during Stage 1 Pacific, but in Shanghai they've played way worse

If they could maintain the level of play from Stage 1, they would've performed way better

But it is what it is, in Shanghai they played like ass ngl

Who was better? At most, you could argue 100T, FNC, and TH at full strength. PRX beat Gen.G in Stage 1 twice. 100T while played solid toward the end, didn't look great the start. FNC relied heavily on player performance rather than strats. TH is the only one I think you could make a true arugement for, but they were playing with a sub for Shanghai.

Its probably because geng lost to T1 before falling to lowers, and geng did end up only getting second seed after losing to PRX in playoffs. However, if we have learned anything from geng this year, it's that their ability to bounce back after losses is almost unmatched. The only other team that I've seen who has done it as well as geng was 2022 LOUD. GENG just won after coming back from losing ascent, one of their best maps, against TH and 1 map away from missing the trophy in the finals. And this is after coming second at Madrid and losing to both DRX and PRX in groups in stage 1, before losing to T1 in playoffs and bouncing back very well to be able to go to shanghai. This team is very good at winning after taking losses, which I think is their absolute strongest aspect. They almost missed out on kickoff because they were in the same group as PRX, and they had to play through playins, then beat expectations to even make it to masters Madrid. Their entire story through 2024 so far is coming back from situations and rough or intense games that most teams would not.

Geng went 3-3 and lost to T1. Prx being the favorite coming in make sense.

hell i doubted PRX even more after they had a close game with a burn out Gen G

When you’re in a farmers region like that it shouldn’t be too hard to look good.

Shanghai just further exposed them as frauds and GENG being the actual kings of APAC.
