NA only has Sentinels who have no competition. No competition unfortunately isn't a great thing to help teams develop. EU on the other hand has Acend, SMB, G2, Gambit, TL who could all defeat each other on a good day. This competition helps the EU region teams develop more than Sentinels

They were the first team that mastered the post plan molly line-ups, in that tournament, teams didn't know how to play against that, that's why after the viper nerf and the other teams countering that FNATIC have never being that dominant again. Just because envy and 100t are losing to Sen doesn’t mean both these teams are bad ,it’s just that sen is very strong.

Just that NA does not have the drawn offf long OTs over OTs in challengers playoff that does not make them a better team infact the best thing about NA teams is that if some team has a really great half they are always able to close the game. They have really good and proactive defense which is really hard as in defence the most amount of team is required also they don't depend upon any gimmicky setups and setplay made by their coach

I agree about the matches being disappointing, but not the entire tournament. All the other games after the G2 against Gambit (the games for the 3rd, 2nd and 1st seed) were bad. It was like Acend didn't care about the seeding, I was watching the Haven between ACEND AND GAMBIT, it felt like a showmatch hahahah

The gap between Sentinels and NV isn't big. They literally won 13-11 with rounds being thrown due to Yay's lack of discipline. Once NV gets more practice with Yay, there won't be much of a gap

Yeah, I felt that all major EU teams played in the same way and similar level previous to Iceland, which is evidenced by how TR and CIS performed comparing to masters 2. While NA improved heavily strat-wise and their teams with the biggest potential like 100T, Envy and even TSM made a good restructure after "choking" on previous qualifiers. I predict that NA will come better than Iceland and at least one of the EMEA teams will get an upset against a "minor" region

Well one one the representative of EMEA on iceland said that busted busted astra is overrated and they don't fear to play against it. Yeah you are right TL was still using brimstone on Haven wheras at least Boaster used Astra. Also when Astra came out no one wanted to play her. But then later on everyone realised how good she was.

If anyone watches Plat Chat, they would know that wyatt talked about how NA was so far ahead of EU because they were utilizing surmises MUCH better than EU is. EU teams have all these 0 duelist comps which don’t work since you can have all the map control in the world, but you can have a jett/reyna peek and get a kill safely bc if dash and dismiss. At least teams are finally adapting and using 1-3 duelists.
The thing is, Acend SMB G2 Gambit TL are in the same league as NV 100T XSET. Sentinels are just slightly better than all of them. It's not like SEN hasn't been taken out in NA. However, if you underestimate the other top teams in NA just because SEN is better than all of them, then you will be sad seeing your favorite EU team lose to either NV or 100T [they are strong :)].

I hope that EU doesn't eventually dominate the game, honestly this NA vs EU rivalry is one of the best things that Valorant has produced. It gets a sort of tribal culture around it with trash talk from both sides, and with the way that Valorant esports is formatted with international matches happening very rarely, every game between the top teams of each region feel that much more important. In CS, it feels like we see every single tournament dominated by the same teams every time and all of them are EU, which could disconnect many viewers, especially from NA and other regions that aren't massive CS powerhouses. In valorant however, the hype built up between these two giants of NA and EU can bring in new fans as they see the hype around these two teams and want to see what's up. Just look at the growth valorant has had since it came out. It has hundred of thousands of people watching damn QUALIFIERS, and unless riot does a tremendous fuck up then these numbers can only get higher as more people get exposed to valorant and the esports scene, and I think the NA vs EU rivalry will contribute heavily to that.
