5555555555555555555 [#56]I've lived in Miami (all my childhood), NYC (Like 5 years cuz my dad had some work shit or smth) and currently Seattle
thats crazy man. Weather of seattle is quite opposite of that of Miami.
DeathStroKE [#58]thats crazy man. Weather of seattle is quite opposite of that of Miami.
I like Miami the most out of the three but that's probably bc the rest of my family lives there and a lot of my friends still live there. My dad still lives in New York and my mom still lives in Miami

did you move to seattle for studies or do you work?
DeathStroKE [#60]did you move to seattle for studies or do you work?
I moved there for work but also because I know some people who live there and I also met my gf here in Seattle. In the 5 years I was in New York I went to college there.

kapteN [#63]Belgian living in London in the UK for nearly 4 years now. Before that NYC in the US for a while, before that Tilburg in the Netherlands for a year and, finally, spent most of my life before that in Belgium in and near Ghent.
Thats intresting. What all languages do you know mate?

Tbh just got extremely lucky with job offer locations. Wasn't necessarily my choice, kind of just rolled into these things

Boston is a great city for job opportunities however. Loads of big firms have a seat there.

Just saw your question about languages. Think you edited your post:
-Dutch/Flemish: Native & fluently, grew up in the Flemish part of Belgium
-English: Native & fluently. Even though neither of my parents are from an english speaking country, my dad thought it was important I was brought up in english as well since he works internationally
-French: Conversational. We start learning at age 10 in Flanders
-German: Basic. Had a few years of lessons, can kind of hold a conversation but not too well. Written german isn't a massive problem however.
Also had 6 years of Latin classes so can translate from Latin to Dutch/English decently. Doesn't count as a language technically though since I can't translate back or speak it

Honestly it's quite normal in Belgium to learn all 4 of those languages. It's not like I took extra classes, you learn all of them in school by default (except latin, that's a choice)

Thats's a nice list of langs to your CV. Similar to you but I actually grew up in three different countries. Three fluent langs plus one almost but also learnig mandarin now lol.
not5kin [#82]Bangalore India but moved to Seattle for college lmao
Oh nice, very up north so probably a huge dichotomy from India right? How do you like it so far?
kapteN [#66]Boston is a great city for job opportunities however. Loads of big firms have a seat there.
It also has very good schools. My district is a little too competitive though. Literally too many smart people. Like there are so many smart asians that are good at math and science. I mean I'm asian as well. But wtf. Apparently someone from our District won mathcounts a few years ago. (I think his name was Daniel Mai or smth). Literally too much smart people. And we are also pretty good at the science olympiad in MA at least. So annoying though. Because in most other districts I'd at least be considered smart. But here. Not really. Literally half my friends are smarter than me and they aren't even in the nerd friend group with the 15 indian kids who grind rsm and aops(I mean I still do aops but I don't do rsm).
There's also some good colleges I guess nearby. Aka Harvard or MIT. But Idgaf abt either of those bc I know I'm not getting in.
cri tiem.

Wow. I thought being able to speak English and Korean while learning Japanese and French was impressive. I guess those languages are related a little more. But wow.
BOOBA [#91]Live inbetween Moranbah (Australia) and Palmerston North (New Zealand)
