Yeah. If eg reach grand finals, with map veto and couple extra days to counter strat even more? they winning.
If EG lose to PRX, they will lose to either of FNC or LOUD.

it very much does. if they beat prx then they have a massive veto and preparation advantage for the grand finals but if they lose to prx and play in lowers they dont have the preparation advantage nor the veto advantage so it will be harder for them to win.

I can't really see PRX losing this tournament now. Loud are on crazy form and Fnatic could potentially hit their ceiling again but I don't think either would be enough to overcome map veto.

EG I just can't see having the experience in BO5s and PRX are just insane right now.

Fully expecting a PRX 2:1 in upper bracket finals, Loud or Fnatic coinflip depending on day performance, then EG struggling in a bo5 compared to a bo3 like Tokyo then PRX hammering the victor in the grand finals.

People said the same in Tokyo and they got 3-0'd.

They've only really had 1 solid test this tournament in the form of EDG. DRX is hard to gauge the performance of considering they 13-1d Fnatic then proceeded to flop 2 maps including 1 they could have definitely closed out.

what about in lower final bo5 then? they lost on their map pick and almost lost in that bo5 against prx with cgrs. Also they played fracture in that bo5 but didn't play Haven which is both teams perma ban and bind which is eg's second ban and one of prx's best maps.

That is why EG should be so favored

They are stomping top teams that are giving other top teams such as FNATIC and LOUD trouble

The fact that they haven’t been tested is a good sign because it means they are that much better

Haven't been tested meaning haven't played any teams that should give them any trouble. EDG is the only opponent that should be giving a decent team trouble out of their recent opponents.

And honestly EDG showed decent performances but nothing crazy unless individuals popped off.

I disagree bro. I dont wanna sound rude, but Loud literally throw away that Lotus Map, losing rounds that they use to win. Pearl was also a close map. I can see PRX losing to Loud

Lotus is one of LOUDs preferred maps now though and PRX gets all the ban options. I simply don't see a way Fnatic, EG or LOUD could overcome the map advantage.

Only way I see PRX not winning this tournament is if they somehow flop against EG in the upper bracket bo3.

Pearl, bind, (probably haven but its hard to tell) and split. This is 3 or 4 out of the 7 maps. I would call them equal on lotus btw.

PRX would lose Lotus, Ascent, Pearl, Fracture, Split for sure against EG imo

Haven is debatable and PRX is probably better on only Bind for sure

EG has the best map pool itw and their stats prove it

You can predict PRX to win but it is undeniable that EG have looked stronger so far

Absolutely delusional. Stats are pointless if the sample opponents are weak. PRX consistently bodying solid teams while EG played 1 decent team and dropped a map when PRX played that same team 2-0.

It's fine to root for a team but don't be daft thinking they're the top team when they have yet to prove it.

Literally only one is LOUD and even LOUD don’t look that insane rn

The truth is EG has played much harder teams in playoffs

EDG and DRX > LOUD and FUT

So tell me, how have PRX played harder teams?

EG better stats against harder teams

Also EG just look straight up better tactically

PRX had to win some insane maps off of heroics which isn’t a consistent way to play the game

PRX beating LOUD and 2-0 EDG is a bigger accomplishment than DRX and 2-1 EDG. DRX are on the same level as KRU. A decent team for upsets and the occasional Cinderella story but rarely take out actual top teams.

First of all, it wasnt only LOUD who threw rounds, prx did too. Also u gotta give credit to PRX, their messy playstyle forced LOUD to make a lot of mistakes.

And second, pearl wasnt close at all. PRX just threw some rounds, but when they won rounds, they did it flawlessly.

That 1v4 by Something was criminal. If I hadn't seen the nicknames I would have thought it was Furia playing instead of Loud. Loud won that Lotus about 3 times against PRX, but they forgot to tell them 💀💀💀

Because scheduling. There's only enough time slot available for 2 matches to be single day events, so they always choose the last 2 matches of the tournament. UF and LR3 are played on the same day.
