Anime will never translate well to live action because a lot of things are exaggerated in animanga to account for the emotional disconnect between drawings and reality. This is especially true for anime adapted from manga because it's harder to convey emotion in manga without the use of screen tones, backgrounds, or some form of over exaggeration. It just looks jarring and bizarre in live action.

hungeryman [#31]I surely felt some heart in it. Definitely had some one piece goofiness. But I think I felt was the luffy actor was trying so hard to act dumb. It made him look like he’s overacting. Zoro actor selection was on point. Rest I think it has potential. But Anime adaptation never really works.
