Yeah but fnatic saved their strats ever since lock-in and fabric outclasses nrg individually as well the only way nrg stand a chance is anti strating and they can’t anti strat fnatic because nobody knows what the true fnatic actually looks like nrg have also not looked as dominant as optic was last year they played a close series with t1 who got knocked out by edg and they lost a map to a really shaky navi side the fact they struggled so much in groups should give you more confidence this isn’t 2022 anymore where they have marved and the best player of one of the most broken agents in the history of valorant they aren’t as good as last year and fnatic are much better even against last years optic they would be the favourites imo

LOUD by no means 'wiped the floor with NRG', not only did NRG beat them in regular season (albeit LOUD had little to play for in all fairness), but the 3-0 was 13-9, 13-11, 13-11 with all 3 maps having gone either way if swing rounds went slightly differently, for example saddhaak's ace on fracture which would have otherwise guaranteed NRG 12 rounds. Also, fnatic beat LOUD in an extremely close match which was in lock in over 2 MONTHS AGO, both these teams have changed drastically in this time due to a developing meta forming itself in this period. I also agree that Fnatic have the edge over NRG in this matchup but your explanation is just plain wrong.

Tbf if anyone was hyping up NAVI at all then they didn't watch them the entire time and just call out based on potential....that they have but they ain't got good strats or counters of any sort, just good aimers atm....but still wasn't like NRG, by many a top 3 team itw tight now, completely crushed them....they did struggle for a long time against what is a team that was lucky to be there.

Idk the context of that statement but Navi against NRG was a great game and honestly Navi most likely wouldve won if they werent throwing for an entire 5 months in EMEA.
They clearly had ideas, they had good reads, but individually they started off really slow and messy, they kept solo peeking when it was unnecessary (because of the easy matchups they had in EMEA where each player could easily 1v5 any team). NRG unlike their other tourneys started off really drilled this tourney and they were completely ready to face a Navi at 100% which probably wouldve resulted in a GF level match in the Group Stage but NRG dismantled them.
Navi wouldve been slightly better if they played the way they did in Lock/in i'd say but that doesnt mean NRG wouldnt have been able to beat them either way

the thing is they really didnt try in EMEA and it was because they didnt need to. Literally the entire league was getting 1v5ed by each player on NAVi and so they won each game 2-0.

Theyve been doing that for 5 months so ofc now they had to face one of the best teams in the world without enough practice playing as a team again that they got owned by NRG

Their reads were good and getting better as we went on in the match but their team work and coordination was still heavily lacking. There was a clear difference in the way they played in the beginning of lotus and mid way into their comeback.
The beginning of lotus was filled with solo peeks and throws
Mid way into the comeback they played together with well timed util and good execs

Ofc they werent gonna win tho cause they started off rlly slow against a fired up NRG

But isn't it contradicting to say they have good reads and ideas but end up dying on a solo peak? I guess they did trust their aim to much which doesn't work against a good organised team like NRG and after that ardiis e.g. were feeling themselves.

Loud did wipe the floor with NRG tho. NRG played near perfect valorant and there were so many rounds where NRG looked like Iceland Optic and i was amazed by their insane teamwork and indiv performance.
Loud werent pulling out anything crazy, they played as they always do, good coordination and insane solo plays and somehow even tho NRGs rounds were near perfect Loud never went down into any crazy round deficits and somehow they won 3-0.
It isnt a coincidence that NRG werent able to win a single map. Im not saying NRG are bad its quite the contrary actually, i just think that Loud are THAT MUCH BETTER. Theyre in a league of their own alongside FNC.

NAVI got in cause EMEA had 4 spots....and that only cause LOUD fumbled the bag in Sao Paolo....they imo weren't even worthy of top 4 but are individually better then most teams in EMEA...that doesn't fly as easy against a good and organised team like NRG

Exactly my point....so they didn't have good strats or even played as a duo to get traded....that screams unorganized and overconfident to me because of individual talent alone...shao, cned and suygetsu can decide the game but it's hard to do that against arguably a top 3 team....ange1 just to confident in his team and himself sometimes

In the comeback they looked like the NAVI people paid to come see....but only a half in the entire series

no yea i completely agree, im saying Navi are playing poorly that they dont even reach their lockin level. NRG 100% deserved to win and were definitely the better team on the day.
What im saying is if Navi stopped throwing in regionals and tried to actually win playoffs they wouldve been able to enter tokyo with a much more organized team that played the way they used to on FPX. Im saying prime Navi/FPX wouldve most likely won the match since i believe them to be just a bit above current NRG (tho tbf FNS seemed to constantly be countering anything Navi attempted).
Navi has considerably greater firepower than NRG and Angel has equal anti to FNS so I think by default Navi shouldve been favoured, sadly they played like the second worst team in groups

Well they weren't shaky they were overconfident and not prepared....just taking solo fights and think they win by individual talent as they did in EMEA....they didn't have a really convincing game all season imo and it showed that they are not top tier ATM..

If even second worst....I think that we are completely in the same mindset here. Tho I would but NAVI above NRG on a talent perspective they also tend to be overconfident which isn't really the case with the firepower of NRG so I actually think they are better.
Just cNed alone can be a massive problem...His aim makes him look decent on most agents but he really can only play Jett to a world-class level while ardiis is very versatile and is hurting them hard in their possibilities by leaving
And I guess that's also why they don't look as polished as FPX did

yea cNed on raze is still not it, i just think hes better put onto a flex role rather than perma duelist. Im sure Zyppan would be better on raze for the team.
I agree they get overconfident but its completely justified, they used to destroy other world class teams with each player getting multiple triple kill clutches or early doubles and triples.
If there was more structure to the team, those peeks wouldve definitely been turning the tides of many rounds, sadly tho there was no util, no coordination, and no communication as to when they did them

I assume by 'Loud weren't pulling out anything crazy, they played as they always do' you are implying that they have a lot more to offer but it's there that I disagree with you. I think the genius of NRG is their ability to completely change their look every time they play but I don't think LOUD has that same ability. So by implying that LOUD wiped the floor with NRG simply because although the maps were close, LOUD weren't even at their max potential whereas NRG looked near perfect, I think you're just wrong. I think both were playing at some of the highest levels they've ever played at it's just that LOUD and NRG look very different at their bests: NRG focuses on adaptability and midrounding whereas LOUD excels, like you said, in perfecting the basics and performing at an extremely high level as individuals.

Loud dont change the way they play but they didnt pull out any of the ridiculous execs or impenetrable postplants they usually use. In lockin i didnt see it either but id assume its because they said they were focusing on the more basic gameplay of each player and working on teamwork.
Im assuming Loud have much more to bring out cause back in the day thats what they did and thats why they absolutely dominated champs. If they dont have more to bring to the table and they can beat an NRG that look almost perfect then they arent leagues ahead but they still in my books pretty dominantly won the match considering again they did 3-0 NRG convincingly other than the Saadhak clutch
