Leaf doesn't play valorant?

This guy never plays ranked and never plays dms and still one of the best players in Americas, how is that possible?
Even on the off season he didn't play, how can you keep your level and game sense when you rarely play the game? Surely scrims aren't enough no? Playing ranked is still necessary or am I wrong?

You play the same game on the same maps with the same agents, different things work on pro and ranked but there's a lot in common and not playing the game at all is kinda weird, I'd bet a lot of pro players can't stop playing ranked and if they did their level would go down

everyone's different, some people need that constant stimulus to stay fresh and some people get burnt out and perform worse if they subject themselves to ranked

I mean, i play like max 2 games a week and i'm still at diamond level going bare minimum neutral (i know it's not insanely good but it's not a bad rank for someone who plays twice a week), i think it's less based on how much u play and more based on how much you care when u do play to perform.

I mean, i play like max 2 games a week and i'm still at diamond level going bare minimum neutral (i know it's not insanely good but it's not a bad rank for someone who plays twice a week), i think it's less based on how much u play and more based on how much you care when u do play to perform.

you can build bad habits by playing too much ranked tbh, honestly I find fun as fuck to play scrim but ranked is ONLY stress.

fun games to play even losing = apex or some other shit

It's not like he doesn't find fun to play Valorant, but ranked is not fun at all, especially at high ranks.

After you play scrims you will see how good is to scrim, way more fun.

ranked is not the only form of practice. Maybe he spends that 1.5 hours in range and custom maps trying diff things instead of losing his mind in rank

idk. i've played both and i feel like there's little to no difference (unless I'm forgetting something about apac ranked)
I guess it's true that asia comms less but I don't remember being wowed at how often NA players comm

At that level playing ranked is just for clout. They play hours of scrims during the week, there is no competitive value of playing ranked with low level players
