4 teams in playoffs are the 4 KR teams
3 teams in playoffs are 3/4 China Teams
1 EU
Holy Chinese ans Korean dominance
patuj [#10]Sadly west can't compete. 2018 and 2019 was the closest we got in years even 2020 was decent still. Just have to hope Rogue comes out strong for playoffs, but they got placed against fucking JDG, like GG go next.
Is that the best team in Lol? I have no clue.
capital_d_colon [#5]Everyone thought it was going to be LPL Vs LCK playoffs.
Rogue making it was sorta surprising
worlds always has a team from LPL bombing out groups. it's a sacrifice for LPL to win
Mortadelo [#13]Nah Rogue farming the tournament anyway
rogue has hope against jdg if they can contain 369 considering jdg gives up early leads often but has insane teamfighting to make up for it.
gordonramsay [#9]Chovy lifting the trophy this year
+999
my boy will win and shut up all those haters who've been shitting on him for years
Mapusaurus [#15]eu will come back in the next few years once they can bootcamp, na is doomed
NA has been doomed in League since day one lol
LoL is the worse e-sport to watch in the world, you already know that who's gonna win will be a Korean or Chinese team, you Just don't know which of them gonna be yet.
Valorant is the best bc you don't know who's gonna be the Champion before a tournament, can be APAC, can be NA, can be Japan, can be EU, and even South America.
Principally now, that all the teams changed.
gordonramsay [#17]rogue has hope against jdg if they can contain 369 considering jdg gives up early leads often but has insane teamfighting to make up for it.
I mean Rogue has a chance against almost every team, it's just a very very low one xD
BoF7ooM [#12]Is that the best team in Lol? I have no clue.
They are #1 seed LPL (China) team, so yeah they are pretty good. And wen't 6-1 in their group. Realistically most of the teams outside of Rogue are really dangerous, but JDG especially scares me.
Mortadelo [#23]I mean Rogue has a chance against almost every team, it's just a very very low one xD
If Rogue actually wins against JDG then they’re winning it all lol
hekzy [#20]Literally one country game. Yet people here whine about csgo not being global. Yikes.
people here dont gf about cs:go

I've been watching lol since 2017 and there are few teams that were/are as good as JDG in teamfights tbh. just insane

csgo is not global lol
lol everyone plays it
csgo only eu plays it

but csgo is the same, only EU/CIS win trophies
you just don't complain because it's your continent that's up there

Brazil is good and NA has liquid. In LoL all KR/CN vs West games are total blowouts and it's not even close. West can't even get a game.
Flyjin [#28]csgo is not global lol
lol everyone plays it

Who cares if its not global
CSGO tournaments are far more frequent and far more exciting than LoL sleepers with dogshit formats twice a year

I believe in the Rogue sweep, they will do what Fnatic almost did back in 2020.

Enjoy watching the esport where NA and EU aren't worth shit, organizer keeps same old ass format for years, with same two tournaments every year, nothing else

Yeah because in CS it's mostly EU that plays the game, it's pretty much dead in NA and Asia as everyone plays Valorant there instead. Asia in general just never played CSGO ever.
League of Legends is still insanely popular around the world, it's the most popular PC game itw, and Korea has less players than NA and EUW while still being a top region. EU/NA could be just as good as CN/KR, they just don't have the work ethic or crazy mentality the top teams have. That's the difference. League isn't dominated by KR/CN because no other region plays the game, it's dominated because CN/KR are just straight up better. CS is dominated because only one region really plays.
Flyjin [#35]T1 on other side of bracket we could get a KR vs KR GF
if T1 makes it to GF it will be the most insanely difficult run
archetype [#38]if T1 makes it to GF it will be the most insanely difficult run
bro the only LCK teams I trust in playoffs is T1 and DK
GenG are choke gods, but they will be flawless against koreans

the GENG vs DK quarters matchup is so fucked man. both teams could make it to semis depending on the bracket/matchup
should have been
DRX - DK
GENG - EDG
T1 - RGE
JDG - RNG
double civil war for the highest chances of fairness (for the LCK kekw)

Asians are not cut out for FPS. You tried playing it, multiple times, you failed. Even if China and Korea went full grind mode in CSGO, we'd still be better.

You have no fundamentals and structure in CS. Your coaches are bad. World has seen enough of TYLOO.

Skill gap of Valorant is much lower, that's why minor regions pop off sometimes
In CS your region couldn't do anything, because that game requires more precise aim and more understanding of fps
Mortadelo [#49]I mean even Fnc got T1 once, yes it's a bo5 and unlikely, just saying it's not impossible
basically what I really meant was current meta is a bot lane meta and rogues strong suit is their botlane/jungler. Now 3 they could have gotten jdg has the weakest bot lane. AND they even give up early leads. Its possible but its gonna have to be an insane performance by rogue.

That was back in 1.6, against the cores of teams that would win Majors in CSGO.
and CSGO wasn't even really available in Korea, no PC bang had it.
As for "Asians are not cut out for FPS" - what's the most dominant region in Overwatch? What region won PUBG Global Invitational in 2018?
More recently, which team went 4-0 against FPX at Champions 2022? lmao
Would you agree if I said
"Russians are not cut out for MOBA. You tried playing it, multiple times, you failed. Even if CIS went full grind mode in LoL, we'd still be better."?
I wouldn't. Easily, anyway.

I never said Asia isn't dead in CSGO. I just said that competition is spread amongst EU, CIS, NA, LATAM and Brazil.
Fact is that NA/BR VS EU games in CSGO are actually close whereas KR/CN VS West games in LoL aren't even close. You always know who is going to win. I personally haven't watched a Worlds playoff game in years because it's not interesting watching which koreans are gonna win it. At least in CS you also have interregional rivalry between EU countries. France Vs Sweden Vs Denmark Vs Russia Vs Poland.
In Dota (dead game) you still have ALL regions actually fighting. EU, CIS, NA, SA, SEA, China all have good teams. TI is actually more interesting because it's the only even where you are not 99% sure who is going to win it.

OG's miracle run at TI8 will remain as the craziest run I've seen in eSports history, maybe even more than Taipei Assassins at Worlds 2012 and C9 at the Boston Major

Honestly your saying this without research. ofc i have to agree that val skill ceiling is lower allowing for more pros to come in. But Korea has never invested a significant amount of time in CS:GO compared to the investment they do for League and Overwatch (or used to for OW). Koreans rarely own their own PCs so often rely on the PC cafes around to get most of their gaming done and shit. But CS:GO and Steam in general weren't compatible in the korean pc cafes so most koreans didn't bother to download and grind it. Ofc Korea did dabble in profession CS:GO with MVP PK. Of course they never had success bc Korea didn't invest as much. Than MVP PK roster retired from pro CS:GO to pro val and the roster became Vision Strikers in which they proceeded to bitchslap the entirety of Korean val for the first year until Nuturn and F4Q came around and bitch slapped them back. Then visionstriker became DRX. anyways the whole point is that Korea never put much time into CS:GO and couldn't do anything because they virtually couldn't.
ColdWKey [#21]good thing valorant isn’t available just yet in China it wouldn’t even be fair they'd own everyone
that didn;t stop chinese teams from making orgs and competing with EDG being the first ever chinese team to compete in a VCT lan.
