or are m3c through? 🥺

posted about 2 years ago

what happens with the playoffs spot now, its a 3 way tie right? does that mean theres a tiebreaker game between navi and m3c since they have better map + round differential than BBL?

posted about 2 years ago

im going crazy ahaha

posted about 2 years ago

Liquid trialed him before right? wouldn't be surprised if they want him now

posted about 2 years ago

yeah i suppose, seems likely g2 will have a roster change before LCQ though

posted about 2 years ago

true, but they could push the players to relocate completely which would help solve the problem

posted about 2 years ago

internal problems that people have spoken of basically consist of nukkye being unwilling to work as a team & was a large part of the reason keloqz was removed from the team, mixwell unwilling to play a role that is not jett or chamber etc which means theyd either have to replace him or keep him on those roles - still just rumours though. their agent pool is pretty stiff, could definitely use new players like you said

posted about 2 years ago

seems like his source is from g2 players/staff, who i'd imagine wouldn't be informed straight away so who knows

posted about 2 years ago

There'll most likely be a roster shuffle at the end of the year which I'm sure Nukkye and Hoody would both end up on t1 teams, they've both proven their talent on LAN as amazing players

posted about 2 years ago

people rumouring g2 picking up m3c instead would probably mean they'd take their circuit points instead and qual for LCQ. if they went for a different approach they wouldn't qualify but g2 is also incredibly likely to get a franchising spot next year so they might just decide to skip LCQ/Champions 🤷‍♀️

posted about 2 years ago

arguably worse? maybe last stage, yeah but G2 has not done great either this stage. going to end their group 1-4 and barely beat FOKUS. from what rumours have been going around g2 has a lot of internal problems that are difficult to fix, it wont be a massive surprise if they drop their entire roster. this is G2 we're speaking about

posted about 2 years ago

its unlikely but not unheard of, if they accept having a bootcamp outside of Russia it's possible to keep Russian players

posted about 2 years ago

slimly possible but very unlikely, c9 val roster still has LCQ this year and even if they had a bad run this stage they're still a viable team. only reason they'd drop the whole team is because of franchising imo

posted about 2 years ago

pretty sure Engh is still with them, but I think they lost their analyst

posted about 2 years ago

In the same boat as you, watched them beat TL way back in the qualifiers for Masters Berlin and watched all their games since and it sucks seeing them slump this split. Always gonna believe they have potential and will bounce back but I think you brought up some good points and role changes are a massive one; love all the players and wouldn't ever want someone to be dropped but they really need something refreshing and new (Or need to somehow magically fix everything) and role changes are the simplest way imo. If they don't make playoffs/m2 they have a massive amount of time to prepare for LCQ and I can only hope they reinvent themselves in that time and come back stronger 💪

Not to mention the stress they're probably under not helping, they've been kinda fucked this split, due to no fault of their own ofc !
*Also I think they lost their analyst (?) due to the whole playing under a neutral name and shit, sucks.

posted about 2 years ago

No matter who they play it'll be hard 🤷‍♀️ that's the point of competition

posted about 2 years ago

tactical throw pls ;DDD

posted about 2 years ago

obviously now looks like a massive loss for Acend and BIG but I guess we'll never really know what goes on in tryouts. Language barriers is a feasible excuse alongside giving young talent a big shot can be a hit or miss, can't blame them for turning him down but it's good to see him on a top team now excelling !! also fits into the storyline of Fnatic always picking up amazing players lol

posted about 2 years ago

Gambit dropping any of their players, especially right now, is not going to fix anything and definitely won't be the quick fix everybody thinks it is. They strive on teamwork and coordination which currently they are lacking and seem to be in a slump but hopefully they can get over it quickly since they've always had a good mental. None of the players are a problem individually. Whilst d3ffo might not frag the most on the team his job is just to make space and set up his team to get kills, they have amazing fraggers for a reason. If they really need something fresh imo the best thing they can do is swap a few roles around, d3ffo looks more confident on Raze now but it doesn't allow him to op properly and they're really missing out on the Chamber meta currently due running agents like Kj over him, the Jett nerf seems to be hitting hard and getting him back on a mainly op agent and getting somebody else to flex onto duelist on a few maps would be more beneficial I think

posted about 2 years ago

unimpressed by Will? there's more to being a duelist than just getting kills, he does his job fine. Bang is insane though

posted about 2 years ago

I like the idea of putting d3ffo onto chamber/skye on a few more maps, he looked good when he played chamber and he wasn't a bad skye player. It's good to see him play raze more and he looks a lot more confident playing her now but it also means he can't get the same use out of an op like he could on jett/chamber. All depends whether someone would want to step up and play duelist, I can't recall ever seeing Chronicle on duelist but I guess he'd be the best fit

posted about 2 years ago

i think every other initiator just out plays him on bind, theres so many choke points that need clearing on attack which favours skye, sova & fade because of their abilities and arguably skye's flashes get more use on bind as they can clear angles + are rechargable so if you're running a skye + fade/sova comp it's more favourable to have more than 2 flashes i'd guess. her pickrate has always been insane on bind

posted about 2 years ago

if that happens, guild is guaranteed 1st seed no matter what happens in week 5, right?

posted about 2 years ago

It's probably in the rule book somewhere but I think I've seen it tweeted that if there is a 3 way tie where h2h does not secure the last team there are multiple criteria's that need to be met to determine a 4th and 5th seed and then the team with the better seeding gets map selection in a tiebreaker bo3

posted about 2 years ago

I think OGLU would be the only team who would be able to win against other teams in NA challengers right now, like against current SEN and put up good fights against TSM and TGRD depending on the day - I think they could get rounds and possibly maps against some of the better teams aswell. BIG is a hit or miss really, some maps they actually look pretty good and go far against top rated teams like Guild yet other times they get completely stepped over so it's hard to rank them among better NA teams. I have no doubt Fokus is a great team but they're new to the VCT circuit and aren't quite on t1 level currently but to be honest, I think any team could beat Sentinels right now. Easiest way to compare this is the open qualifiers, t1 teams lose to t2 or t1.5 teams all the time, just how Valorant works since the skill gap is pretty small

posted about 2 years ago

well no, if every team went into the last week 2-2 then the 3 teams who won would qual then the last team would then be decided either through H2H or a tiebreaker game gets played

137k, watch parties only now

l1nk benched himself but they def need a wake up call. not a good look for liquid

posted about 2 years ago

yeah, can only go at most 2-3 so FNC is already 3-0 and they lost h2h to ACE and FPX. they could in theory qualify for champions without LCQ but emea would have to throw incredibly hard and atleast 1 of FNC, FPX, or TL would have to not make it to m2. more likely they will have to play through LCQ later this year

posted about 2 years ago

already out, can only go 2-3 and fnc is already 3-0 + lose h2h to acend and fpx no matter what

posted about 2 years ago

i don't know what they need to fix but i don't think l1nk was the problem. tbh i don't think any of them, even soulcas, are exactly problems on the team but i suppose something has to change since they've been downhill since LCQ which was when they last changed their roster

posted about 2 years ago

yeah ig, apparently l1nk asked to be benched aswell. good for them but i think the teams will suffer for it

posted about 2 years ago

rumour is the sub wont be the player they eventually sign

posted about 2 years ago

i guess, this one just feels strange because i don't think l1nk was the problem similar to xeta not being the problem on c9 but ig we don't know the behind the scenes

posted about 2 years ago

what is it with teams benching players mid tournament???

posted about 2 years ago

Obviously he's a great player (so is any other radiant), otherwise he wouldn't be in the t1 scene, I don't think anyone doubted he was a good player and anyone who did is stupid but the doubt is surrounded by the fact the change was incredibly sudden (Vanity said they had 4 days of scrims w him before the official I believe) and he has to fill the shoes one of the best NA teams in a short period of time. It's a hard task that not everybody is going to be able to do and he'll have to prove himself in the upcoming weeks

posted about 2 years ago

I'm pretty sure Riot has it figured out this time around, as far as I can see Russian players should be able to travel to Copenhagen whether that be directly from Russia or what other people have been saying is boot camping for a period of time in Serbia would allow them to travel.

Sliggy wanted Nivera to play chamber, Nivera wanted to play cypher. Don't know about the new coach's wishes but ultimately it's down to the player

posted about 2 years ago

used Liquipedia to find out all info about tournaments and stuff for like a year but saw people on streams using Vlr instead and it looked more interactive and had a better interface so i made an account

posted about 2 years ago

hope its something similar to viper, gets boring seeing her on breeze and icebox 95% of the time

tbh Liquids igl seems to change on the weekly, at masters it was Scream igling then earlier this month apparently it was L1nk igling according to Jamppi and now supposedly it's Jamppi again. don't think anybody really knows who calls for them anymore

posted about 2 years ago

too many teams looking better than them right now imo, last stage alot were "nerfed" due to internal or external problems which gave them a break through. you've got fnatic in the best shape they've looked in a hot minute and guild is back on the radar now then you've got fpx, m3c, acend - even oglu beat g2, unless they have an INSANE miracle run it's looking pretty unlikely they'll qualify for m2. maybe not even playoffs

tarik, nats, sliggy, deffo when he does stream, jamppi
