Just curious. I for one didn't knew shit about HLTV or anything and wasn't on Valorant Reddit. Just saw Shaz pull up Vlr few days before Masters 2 Reykjavik (2021) on his stream to discuss about some Sentinels shit and checked it out :)
i used to use liquipedia for all the tournament info and then last year during masters 2 i saw shroud use this website in one of his watch parties and from that point onwards i started using vlr. i have been using vlr since last year but i created this account during champions
i wanted to go to valorantesports.com so I typed valorant esports in google and accidentally clicked on the vlr.gg link. Been in love with the site ever since
a while ago some of the old writers on thespike.gg (Germancius) issued a ultimatum where they said they wouldn't cover Masters Reykjavik unless they were paid. M1nac got a lot of shit (he deserved it all) and I decided to move because people in vlr get paid and there was more community here
Damn.... that's fucked up....why would anyone even wanna write for a site if they won't get paid💀💀....what was the dude thinking he was providing "exposure" to the writers XD
used Liquipedia to find out all info about tournaments and stuff for like a year but saw people on streams using Vlr instead and it looked more interactive and had a better interface so i made an account
