Just my opinion. EMEA didn't prepare to be bad vs international teams on Pearl so that fucked their map pools. Next event it will be way better because teams improve a lot on maps after international events and now they know how to improve. And IMO EMEA has the most good teams out of any region and the potential for next year is insane.

EMEA best region no matter what happens this event IMO. Most competitive and highest potential. Just got fucked by Pearl this event and inconsistency.

He just kept dying because he wouldn't tp out. Seemed like he wasn't expecting DRX Neon rushes at all. Even if you watch DRX games as random spectator you know that they do super aggro Neon plays all the time. Derke would just stay on site or disk or whatever not expecting Rb to rush him. Obviously there's more into it and reason likely, but he got caught off so many times and feels like he could have avoided them if he didn't try to get openers.

Nah they need to think of possibly replacing Mistic and/or Enzo. Those 2 are clearly the weak links of this roster. Boaster is the IGL and core of this team so they shouldn't and they won't get rid of him.

posted about 2 years ago

Classic Fnatic. Never popping off together. Mistic had good tournament so far and then goes -16 last game while Enzo was finally putting up decent performance minus couple of those rounds on Ascent. Always someone is underperforming. Unlucky can't really blame anyone but its just unlucky.

0/8 threw Ascent unlucky

posted about 2 years ago

They don't know how to stop DRX rushes so they have to retake all the time. DRX likes to rush sites all the time with heavy util Neon just running in, but Fnatic has no idea how to stop it. At least FPX knows how to counter that. Like how many times was Derke just staying on site not expecting them to rush like even I know this as spectator.

Enzo was so close of getting fucked there

posted about 2 years ago

yeah such dumb agent

posted about 2 years ago

Fnatic thought DRX was holding A main so all good nothing wrong about that ult

posted about 2 years ago

minus Enzo or Mistic

posted about 2 years ago

Yeah its so bad. They were the better team on Ascent, but threw it away. They lost like 4 rounds just because of dumb individual stuff.

posted about 2 years ago

I think its time for them to think replacement for him for next year. He just hasn't been performing well even if he wins some clutch rounds once in a while. He seems to be adding a lot to calling, and helping Boaster with calls and seems to be smart and positive guy so I can't only look at stats. But my noob brain still believes that they need to make a chance for next year and either get rid of Enzo and replace him with more fragging initiator player, or just get rid of Mistic and replaced him with more fragging flex player. Having these 2 with IGL like Boaster who usually doesn't frag much just isn't enough. Both Enzo and Mistic have a lot of good in them, but at the same time perform pretty poorly most of the time (Mistic not so much this event).

People seem to focus way too much into his couple clutches from Copenhagen, but you need to look at him overall.

posted about 2 years ago

yeah i guess but it was lost anyway and Enzo made big individual mistake

posted about 2 years ago

yeah that was pretty bad throw by Fnatic. Individual mistakes that cost them bad. Not trustint teammate, Enzo standing so Mako can see his gun, Enzo going too close to Astra smoke and gets killed etc.

posted about 2 years ago

Doesn't matter. Enzo just peaks smoke with his barrel showing that lost them it.

posted about 2 years ago

yeah it was bad and no reason to stay alive anyway because they had money anyway but its those moments that just happen and its just panic

Just following Masters 2 script. Both Fnatic and FPX win, face each other where FPX comes out as superior(maybe even Fnatic this time around) and then they go 3-1 OpTic and 3-2 LOUD or other way around.

posted about 2 years ago

Derke has 2nd highest K:D and 7th highest ACS in the tournament currently. And 3 out of top 7 didn't make it to playoffs. So I wouldn't say he is overrated this tournament. People talk like if he was having terrible tournament so far even tho stat wise him and Alfajer are doing really well rn.

posted about 2 years ago

the problem with teams like FPX is that they don't post much content themselves so many didn't really know the players or team that well before Masters 2. I for example have been obviously following them like any EMEA team for pretty long time, but only got to see them interact with each other during Masters 2 press conferences. Obviously players like ANGE1 and Ardiis have been known as personalities in EU scene, but there really isn't that much content out there of the teams or even the players.

Because lower bracket games are the ones that actually matter. Way better for mental and focus when you know if you fail you are out.

0/8 LOUD looked really mid and OpTic and KRU got beaten by Guild. Neither of those teams at any point looked like real contender.

I guess that's true

But I'm not even kidding its been trendy to like everything Korean for some time. Movies like Parasite, series like Squid Game and bands like BTS have made it to spotlight in the west etc. and that made liking everything Korean cool I feel like. Same affects Valorant and DRX as well.

posted about 2 years ago

True but that's because its easier to host them in EU right now. Good for timezone and easier to get visas etc.

posted about 2 years ago

its the same as NA people complaining about how boring EMEA vs EMEA matchups are. I have no interest for this game and I imagine good amount of the crowd feels the same so maybe they aren't super into it and use energy to cheer for every moment. Same would be if it was EU vs EU in NA. At least other regions are more interesting than NA and EU.

posted about 2 years ago

Its XSET vs OpTic. 2 pretty boring NA teams with no noticeable personalities playing region vs region match. This was expected. FPX vs DRX was previous Master winner vs team that has personalities like Stax and are overall known because they have always been doing well and people like to cheer for Koreans for some reason.

Brazilian fanbase is the most toxic one by far. Again not saying that every single Brazilian is like that because in reality its just small part, but there is a reason of why Brazilian fans have such bad reputation. Not talking about VRL in particular, because its pretty chill but more of Twitter etc.

DRX always play strong groups and playoffs 1 game but then fell of so hard

posted about 2 years ago

Good artist. One of the most consistent ones for sure. Releases bangers consistently. Not just 1 hit wonder.

posted about 2 years ago

Ofc there's nothing that can stop it from happening. Not only will you hear the crowd even if wearing noise cancellation, you will also hear little bit through teammates mics and you will also feel the ground vibrating

Also if you look at Fnatic press conference Boaster said that he would have likely swinged anyway because he wasn't sure about the lineup and Mini said that based on comms that was the case. But also said that the crowd noise confirmed it.

but that is just how LANs work.

Pearl. That's it. EMEA ended up being shit on that map for some reason most likely worse approach or teams aren't scrimming it as much or something like that. And that means that Every EMEA team so far has had to play one of their 2 worst maps. Fnatic with Breeze and Pearl(their Breeze looked decent but still perma ban and their Haven is mid), FPX with Breeze and Pearl and TL with Pearl and Bind. For example look DRX they can just perma ban Pearl because they don't have other perma bans. EMEA teams didn't prepare to be shit on Pearl.

I said this before, but people started agreeing only after ANGE1 himself said it in a interview. After Champions its going to be different when EMEA teams actually know how play this map. That's why other regions shouldn't be too excited even if EMEA doesn't win.

And on top of that Liquid has clear problems like they've always had like no proper IGL that end up costing them games. Fnatic's form has changed a lot from pretty weak performances against 100T and Furia to really good vs 100T 2nd time and Liquid. They feel inconsistent. And FPX form has been on and off this tournament. Like if you look their Breeze vs XSET their teamplay and individual decision making and aim was really off. And they also have gotten fucked by Breeze all the time.

tldr: shit map pool

posted about 2 years ago

Only players they should keep are nukkye(100%) and hoody.
Meddo can be good when he is hitting, but is pretty weak link most of the tournaments only activating at the end. -Cut.
Avova was one of the best controllers in EMEA at one point, but his form has been off for pretty long time already. -Cut.
and Mixwell has some good games on Chamber but that's it. His other agents are pretty weak and he doesn't do enough. -Cut

posted about 2 years ago

because there isn't many proven IGLs who aren't in a team yet so they didn't have other choice. They missed on BONECOLD, but now hopefully will pick either Koldamenta or Redgar depending on how Guild does.

Peak: Derke
but Sayf and Ardiis are more consistent right now

I think people are sleeping on Sayf bit. He had 2nd ACS in Copenhagen while going out 0-2 in playoffs vs PRX and FPX. And his stats from EMEA LCQ are crazy 262 ACS with 1.5 KD while going out 1-3.

Most likely no one noticed it. Last round and a lot of pressure so things like that may go unnoticed. People forget buying shields etc all the time.

sucks that their form changes so much. When playing like online they would be strong contender for any LAN, but then they also have forms where they could lose to bottom of the pack teams.

true Redgar or Koldamenta for smoker/IGL and nAts or Monsteerr for sentinel

Says NA with OpTic win lmao. So lucky with Fnatic and FPX not being able to attend with perfect meta.

We will TL takes this and then FPX and TL will roll lowers and meet to decide who goes to lower final and wins champions
