He feels really similar to Jamppi at times. Both have the need to be the playmaker and sometimes it works, but it also ends up costing bad time to time. I don't know does this tell something about ANGE1 calling where he might not be too confident in it or he is too confident so he either has this need to do really risky plays for openers or he thinks they aren't risky because he has the read. I don't know. In Jamppi's case it kind of makes sense because TL doesn't have proper IGL, but ANGE1's case it really doesn't. Both have good teams that bail them out often after making these plays.

Yeah I really wonder why do they keep banning Haven. To my memory that isn't even that strong for DRX. Like are they getting fucked on scrims? Or do they think its too readable? Or are they just cocky and try to save it for bad day? Its weird. Haven suits their players role wise as well.

posted about 2 years ago

They aren't small decisions but you get my point. He does some good plays with nice decision making but then make that final bad decision that ends up costing him. Like if he didn't strafe in those moments he could have likely gotten 1 if not more kills. And he did well getting behind DRX and could have won the round but decides to pull out knife last second and loses it.

Yeah that is also the thing that they just keep changing comps all the time as well. Like they suck on it but then go in with almost no prep with new comp and think they can win. If you play just set on 1 comp that you try to improve on. But no. Let's play ANGE1 Fade, ANGE1 Omen and all that shit. Like this map just doesn't seem to work with their roster, but hey let's ban Haven that is perfect for agent picks.

posted about 2 years ago

True. Like what might even be the reason they keep banning Haven? Getting rolled in scrims? Too cocky? They won Haven vs DRX with a sub last time around. They aren't bad on that map and individually it should suit this team perfectly. Let Zyppan go Raze, Shao Fade, Ardiis Chamber etc. But instead pick Breeze and play different comps every time. They look so lost and have no idea what they are doing. Looks so uncomfortable. Easily their worst map but keep letting it through in international tournament.

posted about 2 years ago

I don't get this either. Their Haven is really decent while their Breeze sucks ass. They just keep letting Breeze through and play different comps every time.

posted about 2 years ago

Yes if they just keep banning Breeze ffs. They are just so bad at it and have otherwise good map pool so I don't get why they keep banning Haven over it? Like they definitely have a reason for that, but ffs just ban Breeze its always been so dogshit map for them after their Yoru got countered. Like how can Haven be any worse? Let it be vs XSET or DRX. Its really winnable.

posted about 2 years ago

He always does those really little things that end up destroying his plays. Standing in corner, but strafing around so the enemy can see him like on Ascent tiles and Breeze halls today. Or getting perfect flank just to pull knife out at last second while you already see B Window doorway. Like those little details that end up completely ruining his otherwise good plays.

yeah but that happens every LAN

FPX banning Haven over Breeze is bit troll I feel like did same vs XSET

so many throws from both teams but that is what made it good

WTF

FPX way overrotated based on wall being broken... but good from DRX

FPX looks so off so far

maybe IMO Leo is superstar level initiator player like we've seen in the past and have heard from multiple people while BcJ isn't. BcJ is good, but top 5 out of any initiator player? Don't think so.

posted about 2 years ago

Any team can stop anyone. Also both LOUD and LEV play against each other all the time, so they know each other well. Its bit different when they play against other regions.

posted about 2 years ago

I just feel people are forgetting that BcJ was really mid during Copenhagen only because he had 1 good game vs FPX. But opinion respected.

posted about 2 years ago

Leo plays Sova, Fade and Breach. That's all he needs. And guy with his game sense and mechanics could pick up any agent. He has played multiple agents including Kay/O, but doesn't have to anymore because its covered by other players.

posted about 2 years ago

Leo top 5 IMO. He had bad final game in Copenhagen, but before that he was on fire and has always been. I for example rate him higher than BcJ. BcJ had good game against FPX, but outside of that there are better initiators.

tbh its not full yet and I don't think there's many SA fans there. I think European especially Fnatic and some other teams with big org names should get more cheering.

yeah I love esports because gaming is nice an enjoy it and its really easily accessible. No need to pay 30 euros per month for channel packet to watch football games once in a while (unless you go to shady sites).

And that is cool to hear, but wouldn't recommend those foods. Personally I hate them. Mämmi taste like rye bread without butter and kalakukko is just fish and pork? inside of pastry, haven't tried in long time.

She has done bunch of gaming related stuff tho. She's done LoL Worlds songs with Riot Games, has performed on the events, streams games, was on Riot Arcane event as host, hosted some Twitch gaming show or whatever it was etc. I don't know how much she knows about Valorant, but hosts don't need to be super into the games they host. Many successful hosts like Machine, sjokz etc has been hosting multiple different games from FPS to Moba.

I have never really followed F1 much because it used to be pretty expensive to watch due to licenses, but ofc Kimi is goat of Finnish sports. I don't watch much actual sports outside of some big football games and national ice hockey games.

posted about 2 years ago

Football is popular here and most played if I'm not wrong, but ice hockey is more popular as spectator sport and maybe Formula 1. But football is still high up we just don't have much success on it so national games etc don't boost the numbers as much as hockey does.

I wouldn't say that. He always looks good in EMEA. Nice util and anchoring, but has been playing way worse on LAN. Like if you hype up Derrek so much based on his online games you have to put some respect on Enzos name. He wasn't crazy, but way better than what he has been showing so far.

posted about 2 years ago

no you are wrong only 1.5 out of 3 will make knowing because Suygetsu is hiding from LATAM fans...

posted about 2 years ago

tbh both team's initiator players have been disappointing this tournament

posted about 2 years ago

I guess the difference is that the cam bug gave VK advantage by seeing something the enemy couldn't, but I guess you can still see the Viper wall gap from both sides. So in theory it doesn't give the other side an advantage. But you are true with inconsistencies, but that is just my guess of why it went like this now.

posted about 2 years ago

Yeah they threw it for some reason, but I also think Pearl is unknown territory no matter what is the matchup. And FPX clearly suck at it like all 3 from EMEA so far. But IMO its more of it being new map with no international footage or matchups.

posted about 2 years ago

We don't know the outcome of this yet, but some people way overreacted after game vs XSET. If it was any other maps than Pearl(still new in international games) and Breeze(their worst map) FPX would have won.

posted about 2 years ago

No. CSGO clears.

posted about 2 years ago

Maybe. FPX's biggest weaknesses are Pearl and Breeze.

So hard but for current meta some team that looks good on paper not the best likely:
Sayf

ANGE1
Leo
Suygetsu

4 month or year... doesn't matter. Its new for international play. Region vs region. And I don't think you get my point anyway.

posted about 2 years ago

FPX's comp isn't troll, but PRX's was. And my point is that even though FPX won vs PRX that doesn't show that their comp is good considering that PRX kinda threw it with their comp choice that was just weak. Final map of Masters 2 grandfinals was 2 pretty bad Breeze teams if you think about.

posted about 2 years ago

Anything can happen. I'm still bit concerned about OpTic getting rolled on some maps pretty often. TL did on Pearl as well today, but OpTic constantly has to do reverse sweeps it feels like. Maybe they just have some sort of mental block on first maps and then add that to their mental block against EMEA teams in the past and that can be receipt for disaster on their side. Like no one expected Guild to win vs them, but what happened. Yeah it was classic OpTic first game, but still pretty convincing 2-0. On top of that OpTic has relied a lot on Yay and Crashies this tournament while players like Marved haven't had the best showing outside of couple maps.
Obviously on the other side Liquid's current map pool doesn't look that good. Having Fracture as perma ban and looking weak on Pearl. Map pool should favor OpTic even tho I think OpTic's map pool is bit overrated.
All in all OpTic should be the favorites and I expect them to win, but anything can happen.

posted about 2 years ago

And they don't even have proper IGL. That is pretty crazy to think about. Different main caller for each tournament pretty much.
