If yes, then 2025 EG's ceiling is probably around 7th-8th at internationals

If no, their ceiling is like 7th-8th regionally

Ye tho they can't really do much with him till like halfway through the year, if N4RRATE does turn out to be an awful fit with the rest of the team then they're either stuck with him till then or will have to make a roster move after Kickoff

Tbf I don't think I saw him smile once during his entire stint on KC, I feel like he's just one of those players that can't really have fun on stage

After watching his streams I feel like N4RRATE will be an absolute black hole for the teams vibes

He seems like he'd get super annoyed at Zellsis being loud and obnoxious and get hyper tilted and just generally fuck the mood of the team up if they're not absolutely running through their opponents

Since the B site changes on Sunset Cypher really hasn't looked as appealing as before

So who takes over as the best sentinel?

Imo it's between Chamber, Vyse or just Cypher staying as the best option

Chamber is really good at taking and keeping control of A main with your Omen and Kay/o players and can pretty much solo hold the lane once he's on the line, freeing up your Omen and Kay/o to rotate early as well as allowing your duelist to make an aggressive play down mid or fight for B main control

Meanwhile Vyse can really easily cripple a B execute by isolating the duelist as they enter with her wall and picking them off early with her flash

Then Cypher can still work quite well on Sunset cuz of he's still the best at keeping intel on mid while simultaneously playing on site because of the market cam. He's just nowhere near as good at halting the push in B main and will probably need to play retake more than before

I honestly think 2G and Furia will be pretty good all things considered, at least better than C9, EG if yay isn't El Diablo again and Loud, possibly better than KRU and competing with LEV, NRG and MIBR

I think this may be the last year anyone seriously considers any of the OpTic players to be current competitors. Victor, crashies and Marved's time is tier 1 is more or less finished, we know this is FNS' last year competing and yay is at his lowest point ever. If it doesn't work out for him on EG then this may be his last year competing as well.

I figured something out about Valorant's map design

The sites are all really barren

Think about every site in Valorant, and the amount of actual cover on the site not including angles offsite like heaven, CT or link

Pearl A site literally has one L box and secret in terms of cover on site, and B just has screen, hall and pillar

Haven A site literally has one box in the middle of the site, B site has the large box in the middle and back site, C has one main box, plat and the close right box

Bind B site is just tube, cubby and the box on the left, then A site is just truck, hookah, L box and bench

Split B site is just the box and pillar, then A site is just elbow and screen

Abyss A site is quite literally one box in the middle of the site, and then B is 2 boxes

Sunset A is just the default box and the tall box, and B was just pillar before the update

Ascent is really the only map in Valorant that doesn't have this trend, with each site having at least 4 positions on site you can play pretty that aren't one and dones or corners

And this fact makes Valorant defence pretty much just a game of take aggressive control or play retake, there's really no passive play on site at a high level in Valorant

Yeah honestly I don't get the hype around s0m in particular when compared to a lot of players. He's a fantastic player but so are like half of all players at the top level of Valorant
