Judging from your English you're part of the latter group.
All games BO3 is good enough, with a final BO5. Imagine trying to play a major with BO5 matches and technical delays etc. People will just stop watching halfway through, that's like a full afternoon + evening commitment per match
A football game is 45 + 45, and that's roughly what a valorant match is unless it goes to 3 maps.
this. Viper solo smoker on split LMAO
Tenz gets that with a team that is solely focused on enabling him**
100% that. And then you see that you were on his stream and he's constantly shitting about his teammates on stream.
played with and against him many times in ranked. Every time I play against him I win, every time he's in my team we lose, cause he always goes for these stupid plays on viper or yoru.
can't stand him
Exactly this. The inconsistency in who calls is leading to inconsistency in-game, for obvious reasons
As a liquid fan, we always knew there was an issue with leadership in the team. Maybe before, sliggy was kind of filling that gap, but now they're juggling the IGL role around like it's nothing. First it was jamppi, then scream had a shot, then L1NK had a shot. If you don't get consistency in the way you're going to be playing, you're simply always going to have a chance to get matches like this.
They need to get a new coach and they either need to commit to an IGL that will stick to IGLing or get a new player that will actually IGL for them.
I never said I agreed with the franchise model. I personally think it's not great either, but you got the simple facts wrong about how the franchise will work and why they're going for one.
He made his profile private during E2A2 immediately after hitting radiant, so his profile has been stuck on that since then. That is why it says he's radiant but also shows his peak rating is 188RR in immortal. The moment he hit radiant he hid his profile.
There is nothing to prove that he's still a radiant or that he even stayed in radiant for more than 1 match.
It has been disproven. Take a look at his actual profile. He reached radiant in Episode 2 Act 2 and then he made his profile private immediately so you cannot see anything after E2A2. His profile also says his peak rating is immortal 188RR in E2A2 as well (below radiant).
The cutoff for radiant is 200RR in LATAM so it is very likely he won ONE more game after he reached 188RR, was one of the first ones that act to reach radiant that act after a big grind and then turned his profile to private.
This does not mean he's a certified radiant. He could have spent 1 match in radiant after an ungodly grind in E2A2 and is very possible (And even likely) he has resided in immortal, or even below, after that
You just contradicted your own statement with another wild statement.
And then underperformed in the finals.
s1mple and not performing in major finals, name a better duo
Teams won't have to pay to be a franchise. Riot will pay THEM to start a franchise partnership. Don't talk if you don't know the facts
ANGE1 is one of the OG igls, one of the greatest of all time. Deserves mad respect, has brought up so many players to stardom that are now big time namers it's not even funny
His entire team decided to cut s1mple. This is 2015 if I recall correctly. S1mple was known to be one of the if not the most toxic guy in the pro scene at that point and he got cut from multiple teams for being too toxic. He'd shit on all his teammates for the slightest mistake and people said their own individual skill became worse when they played with s1mple.
He was so toxic he even got temporarily banned from ESL tournaments if I recall correctly for toxicity against teams
Volvo and supporting games, name a worse duo, I'll wait
+1 most orgs are operating at a loss nowadays. Salaries and expenses growing faster than revenue
This issue orgs have is that if they dont follow the upward trend in salaries etc they will lose players to other orgs and not win anything, which is even worse for the org
Private companies in europe do have to release financial statements in most EU countries. the US is more an exception to that than the rule when it comes to countries globally
If it's a private company there is no share price.
The only thing that may affect is valuation to get other private investors in.
So many people without any financial knowledge here holy shit
Valuation and revenue =/= profit. You can have a company worth billions with revenue over a billion that is not profitable.
+1. Most orgs are operating at a loss. See my comment below. fnatic financials are in shambles for example
You'd be surprised to learn that most esports organizations are actually operating on a loss, not on a profit.
I had a look into the fnatic financials some time back as they were upening up a public investor fund. They have been operating at a loss since forever.
It turns out that player salaries are crazy inflated due to the arms race to field the best teams and keep credibility in a rapidly growing industry (esports), however, the growth of salaries and expenses is moving much more rapidly than the growth of revenue in esports.
Revenue =/= profit.
As for which orgs are the ones that are actually profitable, it's hard to say. I'd think it's most likely a firm like G2.
You don't know how they're going to be doing it obviously.
Riot is going to be PAYING ORGS to be a franchise. They've said so themselves
Thing with Harry Potter is that you can't disconnect it from the generation. I was 7 or something when I read the first book, and the first movie came not much longer after. I grew up at the same time as the characters in the books grew up. It just defined a generation and people from different generations, either too young or too old can never fully get the hype as much as someone who grew up with it.
For that generation it simply cannot be overhyped. I could see how it can be felt that way for other generations though
Wheel of Time. The books can get somewhat slow paced with all of Robert Jordan's descriptions, but the overarching plot is the best fantasy ever written imo, the ending by Brandon Sanderson is god tier
OP, why are you a turk fakeflagging as an Italian?
EDIT: first match was one of those creator clashes before beta started, the very first matches
If you're an org it may be worthwhile to let the players know what's in it for them. If there's no benefits such as peripherals, sponsorships, salary, travel reimbursements or bootcamps then it's better for players to start on their own and not be tied to any org
Exactly. And when there IS a plot, it's one that they recycled from their other movies.
It's one giant formula
bring in sliggy and you'll see comps of 3 sentinels, 1 initiator and 1 controller or some shit
Anything marvel. 100 times the same story arcs, "witty" (read: dumb and formulaic) lines everywhere, scenes that are only made because they look good but don't add anything. I mean look at how marvel influenced star wars and created a total pile of crap
This is based on performance over the entire lifespan of Valorant, not only the last 6 months like half the lists here
Japanese sushi is for sure a million steps above the shit we get in the West.
It is the sushi in the west I'm referring to. People hype it up like mad but it's absolute crap to me. Totally different story when it comes to japanese sushi. That is amazing. Maybe it's trying the actual japanese sushi that has ruined sushi in the west completely to me. I can't eat it anymore cause it doesn't compare
When it comes to hotpot though, I have tried true chinese hotpot and still think it's overrated.
It's only good when drunk and you simply need grease.
Sushi 10000%. You spend 100 bucks to still be hungry and feel unsatisfied. There's always some shitty pieces with barely any flavor too.
Also kebab. Hyper overrated and turks always seem to think it's fucking haute cuisine.
Also chinese hotpot, korean bbq, hotstone shit, all those things where you go to a restaurant and have to make the food yourself. If I wanted to make my food myself I'd do it at home, not at a restaurant. Only fun with bigger groups as a social occasion but the food can never compare to something that an actual chef makes
Except they're Belgian.
They were called French fries when American soldiers during World War 1 ate fries in Belgium and the official language of the Belgian army back then was French.
Nothing. Who tf older than 14 watches anime
So basically he's dev1ce, the most accoladed player in CS history, who can be argued to be the GOAT of the game?
Was really nice seeing FOKUS put up such a good fight against G2. Definitely a team to keep an eye on. As for Acend, we don't really know how they will perform with the new lineup, going through a change of roster but also change of IGL. They may have a honeymoon phase or growing pains.
In any case - fokus has a chance, Acend is a bit of a question mark. Should be an interesting match!
Think that's more of a cultural thing. An Emily in Belgium is trashy af. An Emily in the UK (Where I live now) is ok

These are all names that sound like they belong on poor trashy chicks except maybe Emily
jamppi is igling liquid not scream
with your flair you should know this
No ANGE1 lmao, immediately shit list.
Half of the strats and meta plays you know have been invented by ANGE1
