Completely agreed. Sensodyne is for whiny nerds. Colgate alpha male masterrace
Ever seen kjaerbye in CS? Parkinson extreme
cNed is definitely the better player. Looking just at playing operator they might be on par. Wardell has a super high ceiling but cNed is more consistent.
If we take into account ability usage, jett ults, rifle plays etc then there really is no argument and cNed is by far the better player.
or cause theyve seen their favorite pros shaking and are emulating their style for some fucking reason (s1mple in cs being a prime example)
Literally only communication is a factor when it comes to lan experience
2 times hltv top 10. When he was in G2 they were the 2nd best team in the world.
Come again?
what do you mean? His sage is really fucking good, and he often topfrags hard on it while providing more utility. He doesn't perform as well when he's playing hard entry, but anything apart from that he'll be insane on. Sage, reyna, doesn't matter.
also vice versa, players that were known as "LAN gods" and you knew they were going to show up on lan
it really is a big deal when it comes to composure and mentality. Then again, there are no audiences so the nerves factor is a lot less in these lans than it usually would.
"sentinels comp"
You mean the most standard comp on icebox in general?
DW, all the turks downfragging cause they're delusional fans, as usual in any (e)sport
I know about kapio. Don't want to be seen as a guy trying to emulate a german pro
Also however good he is, kapio sounds fucking stupid
One of the worst maps for SEN? you fucking what? They pretty much wrote the playing guide on split in NA. It was traditionally their best map until icebox came around
the cheese meta. Super unfun to watch or play against
V1 only wins with cheese though. Nerf the cheese and suddenly they're way worse, big surprise
ok? op wasn't denying that. He didn't say "the best", he said "one of the best"
To anyone who's a decent rank it's obvious which are the low value takes in any case
+1 exactly this. People just see jett and instantly think "gotta hardcarry on jett". Nevermind that you can play jett in many different ways and the way liquid is utilizing scream's jett is not a role that allows him to hardcarry
Rank? Think you don't really understand what the gameplan was of liquid.
ScreaM did exactly what they wanted him to do: create space. This will make you die in "stupid ways" a LOT, but kills aren't the goal in this case.
the way they were playing on haven doesn't allow him to hardcarry, so it only works if there are others to pick up the pieces, which I'm glad soulcas and jamppi are able to do
Side note: ScreaM was playing HARD entry space maker in this match. His role is not to go wild and play as a hardcarry. If you actually looked at what he did, he did exactly what he was supposed to do: make space. If you die after 1 kill or give your team the opportunity to actually get onto site and trade, then you've done your job well.
People for some reason always put the onus on jetts and other duelists to absolutely madfrag. If you're playing hard entry, this is not only super difficult to do but also not part of the job description.
EDIT: This is why you so often see him hardcarry on sage. He doesn't have to go in first to create space and can create his own battlesage angles, affording him much more opportunity to clean up kills and use the space given to him, rather than make it himself.
I wish people would stop with the "scream all aim no brain" bullshit. Even towards the end of his CS career he was actually doing extremely well with his utility.
Even now in valorant he's quite smart with his util and positioning. He reads plays quite well and spots gaps of opportunity.
It's not 2013 scream anymore.
cNed 100%. He's just too consistently good
nobody asked about bestfragging or allround
simply who is the best awper.
how tf do people even get 6-8 ping? I have good internet, live in london and connect to london servers with 19-25 ping
Shift, walk for control, as shift is more easily accessible during a gunfight than ctrl
Cool to see another big boi org name come into valorant
Used to think "captain" sounded cool like 10 years ago.
Made a nickname CAP10 (cap ten) but people kept calling me kapio cause they didn't understand it was supposed to be pronounced captain. Kapio sounds fucking dumb, so had to change it to KapteN, which I've had for years and years, but now with a small k
Honestly it's quite normal in Belgium to learn all 4 of those languages. It's not like I took extra classes, you learn all of them in school by default (except latin, that's a choice)
in terms of playerbase yes, but not in terms of esport size. CS continues to bring bigger numbers even for smaller games.
Just saw your question about languages. Think you edited your post:
-Dutch/Flemish: Native & fluently, grew up in the Flemish part of Belgium
-English: Native & fluently. Even though neither of my parents are from an english speaking country, my dad thought it was important I was brought up in english as well since he works internationally
-French: Conversational. We start learning at age 10 in Flanders
-German: Basic. Had a few years of lessons, can kind of hold a conversation but not too well. Written german isn't a massive problem however.
Also had 6 years of Latin classes so can translate from Latin to Dutch/English decently. Doesn't count as a language technically though since I can't translate back or speak it
Boston is a great city for job opportunities however. Loads of big firms have a seat there.
Tbh just got extremely lucky with job offer locations. Wasn't necessarily my choice, kind of just rolled into these things
Belgian living in London in the UK for nearly 4 years now. Before that NYC in the US for a while, before that Tilburg in the Netherlands for a year and, finally, spent most of my life before that in Belgium in and near Ghent.
I agree with you for the most part.
My entire point is just that because of the unchanging nature of CS and its large fanbase, it is quite sustainable.
Valorant is growing and it definitely has the potential to avoid the fate of apex and avoid the mistakes of overwatch, but due to it changing all the time, there may come a point in time that will harm the game quite hard.
I know many people I used to queue with, for example, that stopped playing valorant due to the post-plant meta that has barely any counter.
It only takes a few slight missteps to lose the trust of people, and no matter if you fix it a month after with more balance or a new agent, some people will refuse to come back. Do this several times and the popularity of the game may suffer for it.
Given the riot treatment and the growth we're seeing, I don't THINK it will happen but it's hard to say at the moment whether the growth of valorant is sustainable. All I'm saying.
They cant even win properly in EU why would they be a top team lmao
Hard to say honestly. CSGO has always been sustainable.
Look at games like Apex Legends. Became absolutely fucking GIGANTIC in a super short amount of time, then dwindled just as fast.
Look at overwatch. If Valorant makes the mistake of adding the equivalent to Brigitte in Overwatch, it could be a mistake that sees a bunch of the playerbase leave and never come back.
CSGO being fairly stable and unchanging is both one of its biggest strengths and biggest weaknesses at the moment.
cNed - jett/dedicated operator
nAts - main sentinel, cypher/kj
Ethan - sova/skye/sage, haven't seen him on sova yet but we've seen him flex a lot on a bunch of agents. Seems like a jack of all trades really with good impact
ScreaM - 2nd duelist/flex on sage. Potentially asuna if raze remains top tier
ANGE1 - Smokes / flex, super versatile player / IGL
4 people that tend to play duelists, with only sick and scream able to adapt (and not by much in the case of scream).
Terrible take.
7 years? More like 11-12 years. Indeed great memories, and CS will always have a special place in many people's hearts.
I don't think valorant is nearly as big as CS is atm, and Valorant as an esport isn't even close to be fair. But valorant IS steadily growing and innovating while CS remains stale and remains pretty much the exact same game it was 5 years ago. Which is the biggest reason I moved over.
Kill records are only counted for regulation games my guy.
His 48 kills in 36 rounds is the equivalent of a 32 kill game in regulation. We’ve seen higher kill counts than that in regulation.
Ironic coming from a Turkish player bringing up his own scene as an example. No scene is more toxic towards criticism than you guys.
Say 1 bad word about anything related to Turkey, Turkey's scene, Turkish teams or turkish players and you get a flood of downvotes.
“Why not?”
Cause of the massive sponsor backlash teams will have from signing sinatraa. Doubt a top level team will want to touch him for years.
Just look at kNg in CSGO. Didn’t get signed to a top team for ages cause of something that was much less bad than the whole sinatraa case.
He wasn't even on T1. He was on their academy team lmao
Walking and running both nerfed on rifles, heavies, SMGs and pistols
It's a spectre you idiot. SMGs are supposed to be better at run and gun than rifles.
SMGs and pistols are less accurate while moving in Valorant than in CS even so don't know what you are on about
