That can still happen though. Just not for official matches.

I don't doubt a showmatch on breeze is on riot's mind

posted about 3 years ago

in a BO5 grand finals, that one map (that may not be in your control to ban) may prove the difference and crown someone champion that should not have been it.

Also many teams have been working with a permaban on the same map for months on end. What do they do now? Ban breeze and leave their permaban untouched? Ban their permaban and be forced into an unfavorable matchup on Breeze?

It leaves too much to the question. You're only seeing 1 part of it but there's much more that you're not addressing.

posted about 3 years ago

Good to see.

Breeze was going to be an absolute shitshow without any smaller tournaments including it before Reykjavik, and the perfect way for the "worse" teams to create upsets that should not happen all else being equal.

Not enough time to scrim, practise, create strats and look at what other teams are doing, where every team would be super secret about their strats. You'd end up with unpolished stuff that is - unexpectedly - countered by even wilder stuff.

I agree with the sentiment of a showmatch though, that'd be amazing. But not in the active map pool just yet.

? floppy is 3 weeks into valorant only? way too early to call anything

awping on a sentinel isn't that bad. Jamppi was doing it on killjoy on haven, and that went fantastic

posted about 3 years ago

Lmao downvoted because sick isn't the craziest highlight player? There's more to being the best player in the world than simple mechanical skill. Without SicK Sentinels wouldn't be where they are.

posted about 3 years ago

SicK is the best player in the world for sure. The way he creates space for his team while posting good numbers is literally insane. SicK has been the rock of sentinels since the start of the team.

posted about 3 years ago

tenz isn't even the best player on his team. SicK is

imagine thinking turkey is EU. Super cringe.

posted about 3 years ago

Turkish fans are so delusional man.

posted about 3 years ago

unlucky? They just got outclassed by galaxy brain ANGE1

posted about 3 years ago

NiP is getting too strong tactically to ignore. Some of the best strats in EU, Ex6 doesn't disappoint. That being said, Guild is a great team.

My guess is that it'll end in a 2-1 for NiP, but at least 2 of the three maps will be very close.

Jady is a god, honestly. Such a good player

Edit: downvotes? It’s the truth.

happy plays raze primarily

posted about 3 years ago

Any source for this information? Davidp wasn't always an IGL, Happy has been an IGL since like 2014

posted about 3 years ago

This lineup might turn heads. Excited to see them play!

Wondering who will be IGLing tho, davidp or happy?

what?

posted about 3 years ago

Not how it works.

Lower tier orgs can't produce the same conditions for their players that T1 orgs can.

Oh man, was dreading this would happen. Turks are some of the most annoying fanbases in CSGO and Valorant is proving no different.

Can't wait to see cNed wannabe turks instalocking jett in ranked and not doing shit - as usual.

posted about 3 years ago

Ex6 actually brings in some big plays at times. He usually has quite a meticulous system so I’d expect his team to only get better at time

posted about 3 years ago

that's an aimhack and we know they exist in valorant.

Still not a spinbot like this guy is claiming.

posted about 3 years ago

It's not that hard to drop 48 in Silver honestly. He was most likely smurfing.

posted about 3 years ago

Show the demos then. I've never even seen mention of a spinbotter in Valorant. I've seen wall and aimhacks, but not spinbots.

posted about 3 years ago

LOL faceit is full of cheaters

posted about 3 years ago

That's cause in DOTA and league almost everything is serverside calculated. You can't do that in an FPS. You have to do a lot of clientside calculations, which is why they're easier to cheat on.

posted about 3 years ago

Immortal. Have seen some cheaters but very very infrequent. And not a single spinbotter ever and I've played since day 1 of beta.

I guess cause youre greek you're closer to turkish servers. That explains why. Turks were always the worst offenders in CSGO as well. I only queue on London and Paris servers.

I believe the girl. But still this is not the right course of action to take.

First you go to the police and only after investigations have been made do you write a long tweet to thousands of followers.

That’s what they did with hiko in 100t initially too. Nothing weird about this.

-She has 2 stars standard, can buy up to max 5
-you don’t need to buy abilities, only stars
-all abilities recharge after using them except ult
-she can deploy max 1 grav and stun per time, max 2 smokes
-grav pulls people in, at the end of ability it explodes and makes people vulnerable (double damage)
-normal smoke lasts 10 seconds
-you can pull back any star which creates a 5 sec smoke, then star is returned to you, so you can literally have unlimited 5 sec smokes

Makes sense honestly. Jamppi plays jett and can awp (like in CS), especially on defense, which allows scream to become the 2nd/3rd man in which was always his preferred role in CS and the one he performed the best in (like when he was on G2 before the "superteam"). No need to super enable scream anymore to perform on the entry, afraid they lose a lot of their firepower when he dies, which also frees up some of the burden on the other players on the team.

Good move honestly, though the question becomes who has the skills to take over IGLing from ec1s

posted about 3 years ago

It’s def a buff. Anyone who complains about it just wants to pubstomp and just use every orb available to them.

posted about 3 years ago

The anti-wallhack system is not exactly like that. Wallhacks can still see across the map so player models are calculated at some level on the system.

They come from cs

posted about 3 years ago

While they’re certainly good players, neither were anywhere near the top 5 brazilian players in the CSGO scene. You can list at least 10 better players than them that are from Brazil (FalleN, coldzera, fer, kscerato, yuurih, arT, honda, kNgV, felps, HEN1, LUCAS1, VINI, boltz, yel, just off the top of my head)

CREA seems to only be able to carry against lower level teams who have not "studied" him. He plays an extremely risky omen that was effective in the early game when people weren't "wise to his tricks", but often just throws the round nowadays.

  1. Phantom and Vandal are the main rifles. Phantom appears to be better in most situations unless your aim is extremly good, in which case you may feel comfortable using the vandal (see phantom as M4 and vandal as AK). In 2nd round (if you won first), halfbuys or force rounds you'll want to buy spectres or bulldogs (spectre = MP5, bulldog = FAMAS). In terms of pistols, ghost is probably the best gun all around, its a mix between usp and p250, classic is pretty trash though its right click is quite potent at close range. Sheriff is deagle equivalent but hard to use imo. The AWPerator is super meta right now and hard to shut down so if you're good with it you'll climb.

  2. Watch pro teams or indeed what the guy above said.

  3. Youtube vids I'm sure. The classes of agents are "initiator" = sets people up for fights (sova, breach), "controller"= changes the field of the map/influences sight lines (omen, brimstone, viper), "sentinels" = Basically cs anchors (killjoy, cypher, sage), "duelists" = entryfraggers/self-sufficient kits (jett, phoenix, raze, reyna). You basically always want a good mix of these on your team.

  4. Some discords. Find a local one

  5. Youtube + watch pro teams

  6. It depends on your agent. The abilities don't cost the same for different agents so you see people buy stuff based on the agent and map. For example, Omen can buy a ghost, a flash and 1 of his teleports, making his kit nearly complete on pistol round. on raze, most people will buy more utility since it is fairly strong, and then buy armor and stick with classic. Think about what utility you want and then see how much you have left for pistols and whether sacrificing utility is worth it to get a ghost (which is much stronger than a classic).

I like the sage heal and slow nerf, however the wall nerf is overkill IMO. I see almost not viable situations to use the wall now except to boost people up pre-round

posted about 3 years ago

BIG news. He would be a good IGL addition to any team imo. We already know he can be adaptive (did the switch to OW at its early days)
