fnatic is a great combo of individual skill and tactics, they're great to watch.
FPX is always interesting too. If they're on point they're unmatched imo, they just aren't as consistent at it as fnatic

Belgium, where I'm from:
Being known for a lot of pedophiles.
Also ashamed that we have a part that speaks French. It's embarrassing
UK, where I live:
The terrible lad culture, and how Brits on holiday are not very welcome due to the reputation of stag and hen parties. Brits really have an image problem in Europe
not just that, 220 people were killed during 11 mass shootings on a single day, 4th of july. It's ridiculous
Tf is shrimp scampi.
Scampi is another word for a type of shrimp.
Basically you're saying "I like shrimp shrimp"
You say that as a country that's proud of kebab which wasn't even invented in your country.
Fatberg
A fatberg is a rock-like mass of waste matter in a sewer system formed by the combination of flushed non-biodegradable solids, such as wet wipes, and fat, oil and grease (FOG) deposits.[1][2][3] The handling of FOG waste and the buildup of its deposits are a long-standing problem in waste management, with "fatberg" a more recent neologism.[4] Fatbergs have formed in sewers worldwide, with the rise in usage of disposable (so-called "flushable") cloths. Several prominent examples were discovered in the 2010s in Great Britain, their formation accelerated by aging Victorian sewers. Fatbergs are costly to remove, and have given rise to public awareness campaigns about flushable waste.
Nah that's not even a factor. The rule of coaches not being allowed to talk mid-round in official games has been there since the start of the pro scene, before the coach bug was ever even known, so it's not like riot changed their rules when they learned about it.
What is it coinciding with? I don't think you know the meaning of the word.
Do you mean random?
they really need to figure out the igl situation. They need a big brain boi as a 5th that can act as an IGL. They don't need any more firepower, as each of the 4 can dominate a game, as long as they can work within a system.
ScreaM igling has really impacted his performance you can tell
I like farts, poop and penis. Hence my flair. Thank you for existing d00m
yeah like I said before, about 5k at this point in time seems like the correct ballpark for valorant.
NA is always going to pay more than Europe
Doesn't mean anything. First of all, liquid is operating at a loss, not a profit. So while revenue may be high, losses are higher.
Also you won't pay the same to CS players as valorant players as its predicated on size of esports and sponsors following that.
Basic economics man.
5k sounds about right. 10k seems way too much for valorant Europe. Think you're highly overestimating how much people make in Europe
Assuming your numbers are right, if you've got people like ZyWoo, s1mple and Niko making 40-50k in a much bigger esports, it's a massive stretch to assume that someone like soulcas in Liquid in a much less established esport are making 25k euros, let alone 25k GBP
No need for more firepower. Literally anyone in that team can take over a game and dominate by themselves.
They need an IGL they all believe in to provide structure so the other 4 can focus on their game. Can be an IGL with low stats as long as they've got a good brain
literally l1nk, jamppi and scream have all tried IGLing
Lately it has been scream
NHS is absolute crap. For these things you really don't want to rely on NHS
orgs are operating at a loss. Giving 25k literally means throwing money down the drain
even in CS they're not even close to that wtf. Astralis in 2020 when they were still dominating was making 5k a month and that was the most of any team in europe at the time
you don't know what counter-strafing means.
Check the definition and come back.
This. ScreaM's aim is good cause his crosshair placement is fucking mechanical. When scream is playing on point, he's not flashy at all, it just looks like he's hitting easy shots cause of his xhair placement
You haven't seen ScreaM play man what? The reason for his good aim is cause his crosshair placement is always really good. He's very rarely twitchy, something I associate more with aimers like asuna.
Look at any clip of scream, when he's popping off he actually very rarely needs to flick
The reason they’re not allowed to call during the game is because they want all skills to be inside the game, including a leader.
It happened in CSGO for a while that coaches were allowed to talk during the game, so you started having teams with 5 high firepower players, and the coach in game leading from the backline, calling all the shots. Wasn’t necessary for a player to be calling. They ruled that out to make sure the skill of leading remains in the game. I’m sure riot has a similar point of view about this
Valorant just got csgo'd
Value =/= profit.
Let's use something simple like a bottle of water.
If I sell 100 bottles for $1 each, I earn revenue/value of $100, but can post a loss of $100 if I had to buy them for $2 personally.
If I triple my sales, I triple my value but triple my losses too.
Regardless of my revenue/sales, I could have a "brand value" because I'm known for selling cheap bottles of water, but could have spent another $100 on marketing to achieve that awareness and brand equity. I post further losses but have a higher valuation.
This is extremely simplified, but in any case, valuation does not equal profit.
In the case of an esports org (again extremely simplified): They could have bought a facility for their teams worth $1 million. While the value of their business has gone up with $1 million as they own the asset, they have to report a loss if that $1 million exceeded their income from sponsors and prize money etc.
Almost every single esports org is operating at a loss. Don't think there are more than 3-4 that are actually making any profit.
Also financials are not a risk factor as Riot is willing to pay stipends to franchises rather than have them pay for the opportunity, a break from other franchising models in esports
Liquid is a sad story. In terms of firepower they are one of the best if not the best in the world. Barring dreamas all 4 can pop off and carry a game hardcore.
Their lack of strategy and cohesion just doesn't allow this to happen on a consistent basis.
What's the issue with Alfajer? cNed and others haven't had issues getting to previous events?
What performance? Fnatic played with 2 standins, FPX wasn't there despite winning EU and a 4th place finisher had to come into it unprepared?
Really not anything to measure the region by
fnatic on number 1. Their form is unbeatable rn
finally my boi ANGE1 is finally able to show his big brain on stage
Wardell is not wrong.
The vast majority of teams barely have any structure. There's only a few teams that actually put in the time that would be required to make it in the CS pro scene. fnatic, FPX, OpTic are some that spring to mind
This. Dreamas is temporary as well.
He’s taking a hit to personal performance cause he’s igling
They confirmed dreamas for “remainder of vct”
So most likely a temporary pickup they could use/trial for the short term
They blur the lines between what each role is supposed to do. So Viper isn't just a sentinel or just a controller when she plays on defense, she's a bit of both.
Viper is a controller/sentinel hybrid on defense, a controller on attack
Chamber is a sentinel/duelist hybrid on defense, a sentinel on attack
While other sentinels use abilities to physically defend space (think tripwires, wall, turret), chamber does the exact same thing but has to physically defend it with his life. His ideal playstyle is very much like a sentinel in that regard. He can self sufficiently hold down a space, which is what sentinels are supposed to do.
He does not CREATE space, that's what duelists do. A duelist really isn't so much about taking duels, it's mostly about taking space, and chamber does not have any util to take space.
And just to round out the argument using space as the defining element of each role:
-Initiators assist people in taking space by either flashing so people can physically take space, or using info util, so people who take space know HOW to take it in the ideal way
-Controllers define what the space looks like (by blocking sightlines and altering the playing field)
-Duelists take space (by physically moving in and pushing)
-Sentinels hold a space (by locking down a space already held)
jugi doing insane, hope either a top tier org picks him up or fokus is able to attract even better talent cause of his name and become a contender
Dreamas isn’t a permanent sign. Doesn’t have a fulltime contract, only playing for vct
The issue wasn't him doing coke man.
The issue is that Na'Vi is a ukrainian org with ukrainian players, and they've given him all players an ultimatum to move out of Russia because in their eyes, paying taxes in Russia = supporting Russian government. Boombl4 not wanting to move coupled with pro-russian statements by his ex-gf are the kicker.
The coke is only secondary that adds further issues, but not the main reason.
that's 1.37 kills per round over the entire series.
The whz guy managed 1.27 with his 91 kill BO3, and ScreaM had 1.25 with his 89 kill BO3
also higher ADR for russ there. Pretty nuts.
Crazy that both scream's and russ performance there came in during a loss game
