I have an odd accent, I have a mix of a Donegal accent and an Antrim accent so it doesn't sound too much like the sterotypical Irish accent. But yes, I think I read everything in my own accent and that has just fucked with my head, thanks for that

The Dark Hedges is the one that comes to mind first, used in GoT. Another one is Skellig Michael, used in Star Wars, both beautiful places to visit

Irish nights out to pubs last a lot longer than what I seen when I visited America, we go out about 7 or 8 and we're out until maybe 2am, we're used to drinking for hours and hours and especially when people are in Uni, we drink to pass the time

Ireland is best probably around June time, it's just before school is over and just before most tourism comes in but it is still warm. Ireland is very tourist friendly, no matter what you want to do and where you go.

  1. Irish people are the friendliest people you will ever meet
  2. Irish people are very patriotic, there is a very high level of love for their own country
  3. Ireland is split into 2 separate countries, the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland (most people who identify as Irish in the North will call it the North of Ireland)
  4. Ireland has a long history of British occupation like many other countries across the world, with Republic of Ireland declaring independence in 1922 while the North is still within the UK.
  5. Irish people are one of the main influences for the Jamaican accent, many Irish people were sent to Jamacia back during the Famine

Extra 6th - Irish people generally have a love for exploring other countries and their culture

English, about half of Irish people can't speak more than a few words of Irish

posted about a year ago

Depends on which part of the country you're in. I am currently re-learning Irish as it was only taught for 3 years for me in the North. Over in Donegal, a lot of people speak fluent Irish especially on the coast. Down South it is taught for many years but most people don't remember too much of it after a while and by the time you're done university, you can't speak too much unless you actively study it. It's sadly a dying language and less and less people speak it every year.

Its alright outside of the 2 big cities of Belfast and Dublin, can be really expensive in those cities especially housing. Living out in the country it's fairly easy but it is still more expensive than a good bit of Europe.

Ireland comes from the word Éire, which comes from another word in Old-Irish that means land, which is also where the name Erin comes from (Éireann in Irish)

Really long history with Ireland and the British as you can tell

posted about a year ago

generally yes

99.9% most people you will meet will be friendly, say hello to you and ask where you're from if they can tell you aren't Irish but can't tell where you're from.

Since everyone is doing this, if you have any questions about Ireland go ahead and ask literally anything.

to add to this, I see the light of the sata ssd going out, would that mean it is definitely a power issue?

I was thinking my power supply might just be faulty, it has been really loud for a long time now. Gonna try use different sata cables and a different sata port to see if it stays on

if someone plans to play one game of valorant and go somewhere but the game is stuck in OT, it is better to draw than have to play 4v5 and most likely lose RR because your teammate had to go

For some reason I remember him doing badly last season but his stats are much better than I thought, especially towards the end of the season. Hope he keeps up with the rest of the team because Vitality could be a serious contender for that #2 spot this year. I remember he went off some games so he definitely has the potential and I feel like I remember him performing pretty well on LDN UTD/OGLU but that was a pretty long time ago so maybe I just don't remember right.

Probably all getting pay cuts but EG might be the most drastic one right after they won Champs. Imagine going from the best team in the world to the lowest paid team in your region
