I don't get how people drink shit like monster and red bull consistently. They don't really taste very good, and the "energy" you get from them is 1)temporary and 2)unhealthy. They are incredibly addictive. There are also only a few groups of people that can actually find serious value out of energy drinks, like people who regularly go to the gym or people who work labor-intensive jobs. But seeing people like students or white-collar workers kind of just shows you have an incredibly shit diet and sleeping habits if you don't have the energy to make it through the day without hitting 500 mgs of caffeine.

in ranked there's always going to be broken agents, reyna is one of the best ranked agents but is pretty awful in pro play, it's just what happens bc of the lack of coordination and communication in ranked games

idk if viper is by far the best agent bc it's tough to run her by herself. you can run solo KJ, solo Jett, or solo Skye and still be equally as effective as a double senti, double dive, or double initiator comp, but solo Viper is very difficult due to how rigid her setups have to be. On CT side it's not as bad, her walls covers so much space and she still has the orb that the need to setup these things isn't terrible, but on T side it's an absolute nightmare to go solo viper. You have to preset her wall, and when you throw her wall then you are almost telegraphing exactly which site you are going to try to end and you have little flexibility in terms of fakes or if you want to dynamically take map control off a midround call. When you place her wall, you are putting all your chips on the table and there's very little you can do to back out of it.

I don't think it's necessarily true that the chamber meta was what caused lower interest in VCT, through the 3 years we've had so far of international play, the peak viewership was achieved in Champions 2022 GF, and Champions 2022 also had the highest average viewership, which was when the chamber meta was slightly falling but still high with 67%. Copenhagen 2022 had the lowest average and peak viewership, but a dip in viewership is consistent with the other years, where the 2nd tournament (Berlin 2021, Copenhagen 2022, and Tokyo 2023) had lower viewership numbers than the others. Reykjavik 2022 did haver fewer viewers than Reykjavik 2021, but that's an unfair comparison imo; Reykjavik 2021 was the first time that valorant had an international tournament, and the novelty of this probably inflated the numbers. I also believe a similar thing to Lock/In, the novelty of the format as well as the idea that EVERY partnered team was at this event, including the fact that this was the first event of the franchising era probably inflated the hype much more than it would have if it was a normal tournament.

overpowered doesn't necessarily have to mean best in the game.

Skye's versatility with her ability to get both info and flash as well as use her dog to clear sites and extremities, and her ult to clear out entire areas of the map or confirm where a hit is going or if a fake is happening makes her a top 3 minimum agent in the game.

KJ's pure stopping power with her alarmbot/molly combos to essentially stop any non-dive agent from hitting a site and splitting the push in two as well as her ability to get passive info with her alarmbot and turret as well as the retake potential with her ult makes her the top tier sentinel, no other senti can stop a push like she can

Jett's dash ability for entry and fast disengages makes it one of the best abilities in the game, and her smokes make non-dash disengages easy, as well as allowing her to live on site for longer on entries. Combine this with the maneuverability with the updraft and the eco round potential of her ult makes her the best duelist.

None of those three are overpowered per se but they are clearly the best in their class, the only agents where there isn't a clear #1 is controller

they're pretty obviously talking about the top tier of play not our mid level ranked lobbies bro

d00mbros clearly has a deep understanding of the meta, bc there's no way he cooks up comps that are so far away from what is meta on accident

saying best in the game is pretty far, especially with how versatile skye is and how good jett is on both rifle and awp

watching two good chamber players go against each other was incredible, but seeing a team with a good chamber and another with a bad chamber was pretty awful to watch

he says it raised the requirement for how players had to think about the game and play around the map, with such an oppressive agent ppl basically had to be more careful and deliberate about their actions bc if they took a stupid peek or pushed ahead of their util they would be punished way harder than they are now

just keep 12 players so eventually when you win ascension you can send the benched 6 back down to challengers to qualify again

In terms of skill (not being sexist just being fr) they are basically T3, even the top GC teams struggled in Challengers qualifiers

these 5 players are completely fine the way they are, just that 2 months of practice is not nearly enough time to be good enough to compete over an entire tournament. The only even reasonable change they could make is dropping Sacy and Pancada but that's only if they really don't like being on a mixed roster and want to go back to speaking Portuguese, if they are willing to continue with the Sentinels project then keep them.

SEN hard overreacted to basically all adversity they faced in the season, changing the roster so much is never a real solution, no matter how cracked the players are

I don’t rlly understand you’re thinking behind mixing up the roles of the team, I think 9/10 mixing up roles for people is an awful idea, they’ve gotten used to playing one type of agent, and now you want them to play another type of agent? They clearly are comfortable on the role they have now and taking them off their comfort role usually spells disaster for a team, and if mixing up roles was going to fix the issue don’t you think they would have done it already?

Lack of structure combined with disheartening results can be pretty tough on the mental of a young player. I would hope that a mental reset and possibly more coaching over the off-season could remedy these issues

Going 5-16 in a map 3 with your season on the line is an awful look for you, I just can’t see him surviving the off-season on 100T

posted about 2 years ago

For pro teams he’s a pretty good deal, he’s a talented flex player that’s also one of the biggest content pieces in NA

posted about 2 years ago

No T1 team will want Stellar after this disasterclass of a season, I could see him in T2 and if he pops off out there maybe he could come up, but the IGL/sentinel players in Americas are either too good or he doesn’t speak the language

posted about 2 years ago

Having 2 players that heavily rely on awping on one team is a recipe for disaster, it’s a known fact that cryo is not exactly the greatest entry player and putting either yay or cryo off their primary role is an awful idea

posted about 2 years ago

I wouldn’t like the moved but there’s flex players good enough to replace him ig

posted about 2 years ago

Tbh I think Derrek was doomed even if they won, he’s just too inconsistent to justify his place on the team anymore. He was a good enough option in prefranchising when the talent pool was more spread out, but now that every roster has all stars at every position it’s tough to justify such a swingy player in a talent rich region

posted about 2 years ago

I doubt they drop Asuna, for some reason 100T management absolutely love him

posted about 2 years ago

Asuna and Cryo are def staying, but Derrek is 100% gone, Stellar is a bit more of an edge case bc idk if they are gonna find the igl that fits the role, bang is also a bit of a question mark, are they going to try and develop the young talent or go for a splash with a star controller.

T awp is a very difficult job, but CT awping cryo is a top tier in the world. Not everyone can be KK and be the best T awp itw

posted about 2 years ago

But W keying is not the only way to offset the enemy tempo? Playing an off angle and getting skill by surprise stops a hit often times, as the rest of the team is now scared to peek into an awp

posted about 2 years ago

I’m not dissing KK at all, I’m just pointing out that there are several ways to play the awp effectively, and just because you don’t play the awp as aggressively doesn’t mean you are any less skilled
