Isnt br0dy activly playing with a team atm trying to get into polaris?
Rough for his team if true since they at most had a month to try and get a new igl.

I have to strong disagree there.
Passion for a game is the biggest factor on if you can go and stay pro or not; are you willing to grind the game with the intention of improving every day for multiple years?
I don't, I want to play games for fun. I don't wanna review my own games to see why I'm losing; id just rather call it "unlucky" and queue up again. And that's exactly why Ill never be a pro in these games.

Welcome to why most former pros end up being "washed" once they stop competing despite often still playing a ton of the game.

If you want to see a direct example of it, look at when OW2 released and how much pros from other games were struggling vs completely average players. Theres no magical "youre good at shooters!" gene, its just that these pros work their asses off.

I dont think anyone expects them to just disappear, but as mentioned above, the roster changes are rough on paper.

Especially Sacy leaving throws a huge question mark, since it sounded like he was a considerable part of making strats together with Saadhak (back when Loud let their coach go). So from an outside view its just impossible to know if they're gonna stay at the top or fall off (at least till we get our scrimbux and can start overreacting like every season ;3).

Id be super sad for bonkar to leave his current team since they're such a young roster with so much potential, but dang this roster would slap ngl

I have to heavily disagree. Church tax is one best investment the states make atm.
If you ever go to an event organized by the Church pay attention to how many unpaid people already help out; thats just because they offer more services than the money would be able to pay for otherwise.
In most services the church provides its the cheapest for those attending/requiring the service. And church tax is what enables it.

That being said I do have to cede that all aspects I'm talking about are from your local parish, rather than the church as a corporate entity, because jesus christ said corporate entity treats its workers like absolute shit; but what can you do if you have idiots who decide to hire commercial experts to go over your financials and tell you how to improve them.

fair enough tbh xD
only saw the last 3 games of the redbull so I didn't actually look into it past the c9 twitter post

  1. Yay: still think his disciplined playstyle will be what makes him better than the other 2 in the long run (assuming he doesnt become full time igl)
  2. Derke: only one here who can truly fill the current duelist role since he's both a t1 raze and jett (only question is if he can pheonix to enable some of the more "interesting" comps we've been seeing other teams try out)
  3. Cned: Jett go brrr ig? was clicking heads like crazy last tourney so guess that's a good sign for the season to come

Just compare the amount of international teams vs the regional teams that made it into t1 events in EMEA the last 2 years. Sweden, Cis and Turkey are the only regions that really managed to do that consistently (2 of which had separate qualifiers).
VRL is the only way to get into tier 1 now, so its supposed to generate the highest quality teams and placing such a hard restriction (that then doesn't apply to t1 anymore) is just gonna end up creating a team skill gap in the long term imo.
It also doesnt help with EMEAs communication problem (talent not being able to shine due to not being comfortable comm'ing in English and as such not getting picked up by better teams).

nothing to talk about, ez 3-0 for bonk ;3

stuffs boring till we get the bonkar vs yay ego duels on lan in 2024

posted about a year ago

he literally was the best performer on c9 during their last official tournament
heck he did better than bang (stat wise) who was playing out of his mind during the entire event

Stop talking out your ass

Putting aside that Enzo was always on one of the top tier 2/1.5 teams (defining t2 as, non vct events), and as such him very much being "better than some average t2-3" pro, he did just fine for himself during his time in t1 (especially considering his main quality is being able to help out with the igl'ing due to being an igl for 1+ years):
-Reykjavik: best preforming player on fnatic
-Stage 2 Challengers: 4th highest rated in the entire tournament (like genuinely watch back fnatic vods during that time if you wanna see why he's a great player)
-Copenhagen: meh performance; middling every game really.
-Champs: and heres where you got your sentiment from if I had to guess, because ye enzo really didn't have a good performance here; its not "oh you arent t1 >:(" level but its def a harsh drop-off and he didn't look good anymore

And pretending meddo isnt a t1 player after how he ended his year is just disrespectful
-Stage 3 2021 (on giants): amazing performances against both guild and g2 (rest of tourney too, but those 2 games were the important ones)
-Stage 1: not a standout but also nothing to complain about; g2 finished 2nd comfortably
-Reykjavík: really bad... like just watching g2 in general just hurt during that event but meddo definitely wasn't helping
-Stage 2: a bad stage for g2, but meddo was doing fine for himself; that stage felt more like strats not working for them as a team
-Last Chance: meddo was a demon; amazing stats and (slight over-exaggeration ) solo winning the only map they got vs liquid. Meddo was just feeling it during that event.

id go as far as to say that they haven't prepared for the map yet

comp is fabulous though

(also ignore that chamber isnt nerfed in this tourney)

This was brutal oml
They got outplayed in terms of midrounding (imma sniff a whole lot of copium and blame that on Fut using this as a scrim), Div was actually winning aim duels and the amount of util kills is crazy

Like ouch

The Hindu symbol is called swastika

You're 100% correct. But in none of the cases im aware of the symbols were swastikas. They were visually similar. The vagueness is due to it being part of an awareness campaign (so referencing multiple incidents in multiple vastly different situations). The phrasing is a direct translation.

Your second paragraph heavily misunderstands that im agreeing with you that it should not be something that happens or is tolerated. Especially since it appears to be directly provocative given the current debates.
(Cutting a good bit here since the example of a debate thats related to this is probably gonna scoot too close to vlr politic rules)
I'm not suggesting that just because its been 700 years its an irrelevant conflict.

I am pretty sure public display of any religion apart from Islam is banned by law in Qatar

That is a fair point if the outfits are perceived as such by local people.
I hadn't even considered it as such, since (at least in the protestant church) the crusades are seen more as a stain in Christianity's history & part of the eternal power struggle of church vs "states" in Europe.

posted about a year ago

Your anolagy doesnt exactly work when you consider one of them is a current threat (with nationalist movements across the worlds, including in Germany, being labled as such) while the other is an, considering the debates already going on, absolutely tasteless reference to a 700-year-old conflict.

One activity is banned by law, the other is just purposefully disrespecting local people. Neither are good, but they're nowhere close to each other in severity.

There have been incidents (as far as I'm aware none of them violent or resulting in an arrest) of Hindu symbols being mistaken for swastikas, having lead to multiple (imo unsuccessful) movements trying to make people aware of the differences.

That aside, yes id 100% assume Germans would be unhappy if someone comes to their country constantly making jokes about ww2
Not that I have to assume much there since we're surrounded by countries who didnt exactly lose the war and as such joke much more openly about it xD

I mean they were all close maps so the score isnt that important
but ye he and kadoom were really packing some punch today

The component picks are really good
Ram might be overkill, but since chromium exists you cant really have too much of it, if you have the budget (just keep in mind that you're going to need ddr5 for your next upgrade)
I've personally haven't needed the extra cooler, but Ive also always undervolted and it definitely won't hurt

And I haven't gotten to work with the power supply yet so I'm def interested in your experiences if you do end up going for it

posted about a year ago

so youre saying MiTH get the lower bracket buff and bleed get nothing?!

yeeea shouldnt matter for bleed since they play all maps except for fracture

posted about a year ago

(didnt watch the map picks so very well could be wrong)
normally the team from upper bracket gets a ban advantage

the ez game was refering to this matchup smh
yall winning the entire event dw

eyyy another person thats way too high on the bonk hopium
but ye except for bonk probs losing vs navi id agree with everything else

gonna have to wait till acension ig, should be able to keep up their 3rd streak if they stay in APAC ;3

but ye even in EMEA Maxie is gonna be doing damage; an igl who can consistently has ~190 tournament acs is scary

posted about a year ago

random number generator go brrr

posted about a year ago

wouldnt go that far, both giants, vit and maybe bbl can match their raw firepower, so imo its gonna be more about how much those teams prepare

and then theres wild cards like parla, bonk and fut who all have the potential to upset if theyre having a really good day

posted about a year ago

navi and bonk*

that aside bottom bracket is stacked af in general

gonna be a rough game to win, but I really want to finally get to watch a bonk vs barbers matchup
so ez game for the hairdressers

someone probs made a joke to try and get the moral up to reverse sweep the map
if there was a team to do it this tournament its SR

posted about a year ago

Prx has been experiments with champs during the offseason for a while now.
So, nah I doubt the'yll be using the same comps in Sao Paulo, but I wouldn't be surprised to see some offmeta agents from them if they liked how they worked in this tourney.

posted about a year ago

theyre just as part of the team as every player is
so ye they should be professional, as should every player per rules riot set (7.1.2 applies for all team members). Problem is when you have THIS kind of rivalry with so much trash talk between the teams, suddenly turning around and suspending someone for a minor (previously ignored) offense is rough.

Thing is we've had this discussion in the GC scene before with the tea bagging bans, so guess that's just GC where riot will randomly punish competitors

posted about a year ago

why did you have to do that to enigma wtf

posted about a year ago

ooooooo them not having a coach explains SO many things
like props keeping up regardless but idk why you'd make it hard on yourself when you have such a top tier team talent wise

posted about a year ago

I was super worried when KC announced their regional roster early on and am somewhat relived with all the mixed squads (ignoring Turkey because I'm unsure of how well a lot of their pros speak English).

However
Excluding the Turkish teams, out of the 8 players in t2 last split, who are now joining a franchising team, 7 played in the Spanish or the French VRL last split.
0 played in another VRL league.

Don't get me wrong they're talented players, but are you telling me that there's no talented players in the other VLRs?

Tl;dr Vrl France: Revolution & Spain: Rising go brrr

posted about a year ago

if they can finally beat excel in the playoffs, shits cursed

posted about a year ago

I mean zeek is consistently alright, remember acend as a whole was looking... meh... last split so that's gonna be a big part of it (only slightly high on copium here)
And if keloqz gets the support from the team he could turn into the next super star, if he doesn't, I'm SO scared that his playstyle will leave us with another yacine situation

posted about a year ago

Youd have to pick between the 3060 or the 6600xt for current gen "low end" cards
Depending on your country amd could be a lot cheaper, and if so id strongly recommend picking theirs up then
If the prices are really close nvidia still has an edge in terms of drivers on the lower end since amd is still figuring out their dx11 patches and alt tabbing seems to break every once in a while (but at least for me the drivers have been holding up well otherwise)

You're in luck!

beat out in this context means surpass -> they got a higher placement than the 2 EMEA teams at the competition -.-

and at no point was i talking about fpx? 2 top EMEA teams being g2 and liquid, since they're both teams who successfully compete at the top level in EMEA

posted about 2 years ago

did you even read what i wrote?
both

if FPX were there ZETA were supposed to face them FPX 0-2 ZETA anyday

and

if FNC with full squad was there they would clean sweep them

are not only hypotheticals but also completely irrelevant to what i was saying
You can mald as much as you like the point still stand that Zeta is a Japanese team that was able to beat out 2 top EMEA teams to make it to top 3 in a lan, proving that they're a region that compete at a top international level

also im not your buddy, friend ):

posted about 2 years ago

if you watch the vod of the game was anything but "persuasive" xD it was really scrappy for both sides so its hard to get a consistent result out of it
we're gonna have to wait for rematches to see if nth have surpassed them

posted about 2 years ago

liquid and g2 were there in full power no?
look EMEA is biggest strength is that our t1 is really close with every team carving its own niche and shaping the meta from there; you cant just dismiss 2 of our best teams at the time getting beaten in that tournament
Yes it sucks that fpx and Fnatic weren't able to show how good they were but that doesn't change the fact that japan produced a team that could compete with the top of the World (and even win out against the majority of them in the event)

Based on Sayf interview they could not have taken Twisten on loan; thats the whole problem of the situation
They didnt want to sign anyone and thought they could take a loan for the duration of the lcq, but then a day before roster lock found out that they had to sign player instead.
-> they had to either pick a free agent or get someone to terminate their contract within the day so they could sign them instead.
And yea that's where Yacine came in; past experience with the team, willing to terminate his contract and correct roles

His performance being the way it was is just unfortunate, since they didn't have time to properly prepare with him and get him used to playing in t1 again

Subtitles I pulled from Yinu's video with names corrected and some punctuation to make it readable:

"So we were in a time period where we had gotten the news that we need to look for another player and obviously since there's only lcq left people should not sign a new player, because then franchising comes and you know whatever next year hast to offer, so we're looking for a stand-in right, so we ask for a loan and we find a player that we like, it was Twisten from big, we tried to get that load going, but there was some sort of miscommunication between the org and riot, it felt, because the loan itself was not allowed. So a few days after we had played with Twisten we got the news that "oh you cant actually do this loan" and then we have a day to find a player. And we're writing up this list, they have to be free agents, we're just looking what can we do, can we make people terminate their contract, and we ended up on Yacine. [...] I think the misunderstanding was that you're only allowed to take an emergency loan, not a loan of a contracted player, so it has to be like either he's very sick or a visa issue if russ couldn't preform at all, you know that kind of thing. And so that's why it was denied. Initially we thought we could take a loan and that's where the miscommunication happened."

posted about 2 years ago

It really depends on the team if its defender sided (remember fpx vs fnatic), and both teams are ALOT better at attacking

posted about 2 years ago

idk normally they're pretty good at planning 3 hours per game; I'm guessing they want to at least have a chance for the games to finish before NA (since the 3rd game is 2 hours before NA)
Still sucks though to change both time and channel

posted about 2 years ago

id say nth passes as t1 since they preformed decently last masters against other regions t1 teams
