There is a strange connection between Diddy and the Alvin and the Chipmunks franchise. Diddy is mentioned I believe 4 times throughout the 4 movie live action franchise.

In the 2007 Alvin and the Chipmunks movie, one of the three chipmunks says:

This brings me to my next conclusion. The island they got stranded on in Chipwrecked was Epstein Island.
