G2 make Giants trio official

G2 Esports G2 Esports Inactive have finalized their 2022 roster with Johan "Meddo" Renbjörk Lundborg, Aaro "hoody" Peltokangas, and Daniil "pipsoN" Mesheryakov.

The Giants Gaming Giants Gaming Inactive Redgar Igor Vlasov Fit1nho Adolfo Gallego nukkye Žygimantas Chmieliauskas hoody Aaro Peltokangas Cloud Kirill Nehozhin trio made a name for themselves in the closing stages of the 2021 VCT. In Stage 3, Meddo, hoody, and pipsoN elevated the team to a new status as they took second place in Challengers 2. Giants would later place top six in the EMEA Challengers Playoffs, one map away from Masters: Berlin, being eliminated by G2. Giants closed out the year with a third-place finish in the Red Bull Home Ground #2.

G2, after reaching Masters: Berlin, were unable to find enough points for direct qualification to Champions. In the EMEA LCQ, G2 were only able to go as far as third place. In the Home Ground tournament they failed to make it out of the group stage, at which point G2 started trialing players.

As part of this move, G2 have benched Cista "keloqz" Wassim. The Frenchman has been allowed to explore options while he sees his contract end. Former coach Neil "neilzinho" Finlay's contract has also expired and he is now a free agent.

Yeah. I don't understand why are people underrating this team so much. G2 kept both nukkye and Avova who are some of the best players in their roles and signed 2 players + coach from team that was competitive against best of EU. And obviously kept Mixwell that I'm still 50/50 with. Like would people be more happy if they signed some unknown Jett OTP and unknown sentinel or what?

Omg you just gave me a possibly epic idea for a Valorant agent: a LAWYER. Maybe he would look a bit like the Nintendo lawyer Phoenix Wright and one of his powers would be to yell OBJECTION that would stun nearby players or destroy their superpowers (like imagine a Sage facing the lawyer. That’s what the rumors say it would be a way better option than ec1s for 100T imo. He also rejected Heretics after passing the tryouts, so I’m sure he knows what he is doing.

It’s also funny how Davidp it’s succeeding a lot more than when Excel benched him or Meddo from when FPX benched him

G2 has a really good support line but I am kinda worried about Mixwell’s role in the team. EMEA is a really strong region and I don’t think he can pull off the duelist igl. I think from an interview he said he was comfortable with not being that Star Jett due to pressure and being more supportive and focusing on his game but idk it could work again
